  • Last weekend I did a major house cleaning for 90 minutes and I was SWEATING! Hell yeah I made damn sure I recorded every minute of it into my excerise. However, I still did use the elliptical for 30 minutes. I used it with my regular workout not instead of my regular work out. Got a couple extra calories out of it :-)
  • Lose the scale for a couple weeks. If your clothes are fitting better and overall your seeing success without the scale then you probably are. A post above mentioned using a measuring tape. That would be a good trade off to the scale for a couple weeks.
  • I usually eat 1/2 cup of oatmeal with 1-2 tablespoons of yogurt and about 2-3 ounces of berries. It takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, fills you up and is delicious!

  • I focus less on calories and make sure I'm not going over my fat, carb & sugar intake and meeting my fibre and vitamin goals. That way once in a while I might be over or under on the calories but overall I'm maintaining healthy eating.

  • Tried it, like everything else & failed because it is so insanely hard! I can see it being beneficial to someone who has plateaued or is taking their work out to the extreme but for the average Joe/Jane I agree with the OP... skip it!
