Fill up with a big salad as a part of the meal. Your stomach has stretch receptors that tell you that your full... my eating larger quantities of low calorie, highly nutritious foods you will feel full with less caloric intake. Works for me. Drink tons of water with your meal too.

A side note, I always used creatine when doing any heavy lifting routine as it helps with the re-cycling of ATP which is part of the cellular metabolism that leads to the production of glycogen. Not sure if it is the "right" thing to do, but it worked for me.

The way I have always been told was by doing the cardio AFTER the lifting it helps to burn off the lactic acid that builds up in the muscles and causes the pain. But, now... I do my cardio WHILE lifting.

They work if you WANT to quit smoking. If you do not want to quit, and are only doing it for reasons to please others you will fail. I am an ex smoker. So is my wife.

Lukas, in my situation (health and weight) I would not be able to get my heart rate going jihj eneough, for long enough to get a good calorie burn and cardio workout. Everyone is different though. Try it with a heart rate monitor and see what you get for a burn.

tka, my wife has MS and she does ok but when it is hot she gets exsasperated and needs to just rest for a few minutes. Keep up the good work, so much of MS is countered by having good leg and core strength. Take care, and be well.

My personal opinion is unless you have real acting talent and can play an engaging character you should not be on television. Just because your pretty, fat, stupid, <insert your own reality "star" quality here> does not make your worth being on television.

The goals are based on what you enter, and the questions that you have to answe are so NOT cut and dry so just remember the goals are just guidlines too. In my opinion, unless you are coming in rediculously low it is better to finish under than over!!

Be persistant too... I resisted, and resisted... Then, oneday I found it on "my own" and tried to tell my wife... she laughed and said oh thats cool... I will try it. Only to remind me she had been using it for a long time!!

It was a great time, and a good insight into why I need to lose weight. When you train for heavy athletics no one tells you that you need to come down as slow as you grow. I will never be able to compete at a high level (Nor did I ever really before) but I will be healthier. These guys are pretty much genetic freaks.

I am selfish... when I ccw it is so that I can get home safely to my family. Engaging in a gunfight is counter to that theory. For those of you looking for fun new ways to get exercise try IDPA... it is a blast, and some of the stages have you doing a little cardio so you can experience shooting with an elevated heart rate.

Thanks everyone. I love nuts too, I have just not been eating many of them. I will get some for this weekend. I like organic granola too... I will bring a cooler, and stock up. Beats waiting in line for lunch too. We get such a short break!

Dont feel bad Sassy... I missed half of my yoga (I am at the end of week three....)... 90 minutes is hard to come by when you leave for work at 6:30am and dont get home until 8:00pm.....

My wife is constipated. We eat a high fiber, low fat diet.... I know that before I gave up dairy and started this diet I had "loose" stool daily. Now, I am regular and satisfied. No doubt that diet effects your digestion. Good luck with your troubles and go forth and POOP!!

I guess that works for the average, but there are many different body types out there and some are just exceptions to the rule.
