Almost 3 weeks in, inches and pounds lost!

I get so much inspiration on this board, I just wanted to post my own small success!

I am not quite 3 weeks in, and I have lost 7.5 pounds, which thrills me. But I just measured, and I lost 3 inches on my waist, 1.5 on my hips and even 1.5 inches on my neck!

Thanks for all the inspiration - I am excited to post my results pictures toward the end of the year.

I started this round at 189, and my goal is 150.

  • Nice work! Little wins add up to huge victories! I started on my journey in Aug 2010 and still have kept all the weight off and really enjoy the new me!

  • No secrets. :) I am writing everything I eat down in the online tracker... Most days I eat a hearty breakfast, a salad with protein for lunch, fruit as a snack and a single serving of dinner rather than triple portions like I used to.. I am not eating out as often, which saves on hidden fat, salt and giant portions.

    I started exercising most days of the week - elliptical or stairs for 30 m,inutes, and lifting weights, doing stretching and pilates/yoga for 10 minutes after each work out. I am pushing myself to my upper range of heart rate in intervals (like during the commercials, I really push. I just tried a spinning class for this first time. I am keeping it varied. On the days I don't get to the gym I do Walk Away the Pounds or take a short walk outside.

    It helps that I just weaned my little one and I think 5 of the pounds I lost were water weight - but I'll take it!

    Also, my dad, step-mom, aunt and a close friend are on this site and the support has really made the difference for me! I read the success boards every day!
