  • I guess you are reading something I haven't read. I had the surgery 5 years ago yesterday and lost 174lbs. I did regain when I stopped using the tool. But now I am back to using the tool and am keeping the weight off. Many people do gain some weight back, but I have not heard that most regain significant before.
  • Try Romain lettuce. I use the leaves and wrap whatever would be in a sandwich. Try whole foods and/or Trader Joe's, they have no grain wraps as well.
  • I lost 150lbs 5 years ago and had/have a great deal of excess skin. You have to take that into consideration when you are looking at your BMI. Until you get it removed you are going to have to factor that in. There is no way to loose that, it can be tightened with time and work in the gym. Congratulations on your…
  • From an old timer, over 4 years out, try a site called thinner times.
  • You are doing great. I would also try something different for breakfast. That is unless you can't with schedule. Try oatmeal or other protein rich things. I don't do eggs either. Also I know this is really hard, but try to get away from the crisps and lemon bars as snacks. I know I love them too. But really they are full…
  • I have truely found that diets don't work. Try to eat clean. That means as little processed foods as you can get by with. My trainer is great, he says we over think it. No chips, fried food, soda's or bread/cake. Not easy, but it has really worked for me.
  • For me alone it is about 120 a week. But I have found that now that I don't eat out at fast food places, I am actually saving money. Before i would buy healthy, but lots would go to waste. Also I have fallen in love with those green food containers that keep food fresher longer. With it just being me I can buy a bit more…
  • It is called the Mons Pubis - my plastic surgeon said she would include the reduction and lift as part of my tummy tuck.
  • Sorry to say it sounds like an eating disorder. Actually it sounds like me about 15 years ago. Binging and starving, obsessing about how many calories a workout is going to give you. I talked to a therapist and still do every so often. Not the end of the world. But you should look into talking to someone. Good luck.
  • I am so happy I found this board. I had RNY 1/12/2010. I was able to get to my goal of 170 and my drs. goal of 155. I didn't look good or feel good at 155 being that I am 5"8' and large framed. So I gained back to 170 and didn't seem to stop. I month ago I hired a trainer and detoxed from sugar, found the scale up to 221.…
  • I am on week 3 day 1 and have lost a little over 5lbs. I totally understand where many of you are coming from that this is just another way of saying what we all know (eat healthy, exercise and you will feel better and loose). However, for someone like me who was totally off the mark on my eating and on the upward climb…
  • i am on day 2 of week 1. I am having issues getting all the food in. Anyone know if this will prevent from loosing.
  • Congrats on taking that step. I had the gastric bypass surgery Jan. 12. I have lost 96lbs including the two weeks prior to surgery liqued diet. This tool is really helping me stay consistent. I have slowed down to loosing a couple pounds a week, but feel that is great. Cherryl
