  • Ah! I tried those Fiber One bars and they didn't agree with my bowels too well, but they were SO TASTY!!! =D I had to quit those, but I now eat the South Beach Diet bars or the Special K Protein bars. I'm on a doctor-recommended high-protein/low-carb diet, so both of these choices work well for me. The Special K Protein…
  • Sorry about your plight! My boyfriend and I live together and he always helps me out when I ask him. Often times, he'll even do things for me as a surprise for me to come home to. :flowerforyou: He's a true gentleman and doesn't believe in that whole "men's-work/women's-work" gender discrimination garbage. If he can wash…
  • Lettuce/celery and water. That's what I'm resorting to now, as we are in the same boat, honey! Best of luck to you!! :flowerforyou:
  • Marvelous idea! Similarly, I've taken a tape measure and held the closed circle that is my waist out in front of me, just so I can see from a top-down view what my midsection looks like--it's horrifying! (Not to mention VERY effective!) I've also taken that tape measure and gone around the house to find objects my waist is…
  • My mom actually had a one-pound block of fake fat that she kept in the cupboard. It was disgusting, and I think the dog ended up chewing it so we had to throw it out. :ohwell:
  • True, true! Although for a meal like that, I'd probably just ask somebody to pinch me. LOL. Whatever gets you there!
  • Experts say that keeping clothes that are too small for you as motivation DOESN'T work, but they never said anything about photos! I have "trouble spots" in my house: the drawer where the candy is kept, the jar with the cookies, cupboard with the potato chips... you get the idea. And if I know anything about the battle of…
  • Ribbons are SO much prettier than rubber bands! Besides, losing weight is supposed to be good for you, not painful for you! I've tried the rubber band thing before and just ended up never snapping it, no matter what I ate! Now, what good is that?!
  • Here's an idea for a watch-what-you-eat reminder: tie a ribbon around your wrist (preferably on the hand you eat most with!) and every time you go to eat something questionable, check out that bow and ask yourself, "Does my body REALLY need this?" Remember, every bite counts! Make your calories worth it!
  • Hey, Deb! I have a bit of a sweet tooth as well! Some things I've found that work for me are fruits (I like to dip a banana in low-fat/sugar-free strawberry yogurt or have chocolate covered strawberries) and protein bars! I'm not a big fan of some of the protein bars because of their texture, but the South Beach Diet bars…
