  • Yes, I get this. I also have had multiple people say, "Wow, you look so tall." I'm 5'9". Haven't grown an inch in over 30 years. I think that maybe people now notice my height when before they noticed the weight?
  • After adding several new holes, I had to cut about 6 inches off the end of my favorite belt because it wraps so ridiculously far around my body.
  • I kept running. When I was originally sent to work from home (and foolishly thought at the time thought it would only be for a few weeks), I debated giving myself a break from my morning run and sleeping an hour later since I wouldn’t have my commute. Decided it was probably best to keep up my routine so I wouldn’t fall…
  • 55 pound loss in 1 year. It’s taken another year to get down 4 more pounds. (I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve lost and gained the same 2 pounds over the last year!) Only 4 more pounds to go! Slow and steady. Woah- sorry. Not sure why the after pic came out so huge.
  • N2R is a great program! I completed it a year and a half ago and went from being someone who never ran (and did not really enjoy it) to now running a 5k 5 or more times a week- equally to maintain my mental health as well as allow me to indulge in ice cream (ok... and maybe a cocktail). Good luck on your running journey!…
  • To wear my inspiration jeans on my birthday in April. I think it's doable. I can currently get them on, but there is too much of a muffin top for me to be comfortable in them.
  • I shrunk out of my favorite belt! Had to order a new belt strap today.
  • spaghetti squash shrimp scampi
  • Trying to limit caffeine, so M-F it's hot water with lemon. The weekends are for cappucino!
  • I use it in place of pasta to make shrimp scampi. Spaghetti squash au gratin is also a favorite side I make on Thanksgiving: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/262495/spaghetti-squash-au-gratin/
  • Whiskey- best running partner ever!
  • Prepping my breakfasts and lunches for the week on Sunday, so I can just grab them from the fridge on my way to work instead of rushing like a lunatic in the morning and perhaps making unhealthy choices Brushing my teeth between 7-8 pm instead of right before I go to bed- Keeps me from late night snacking plus allows me to…

  • From the Moosewood Cookbook- so good. You can substitute whatever veggies or cheese you like. http://www.food.com/recipe/moosewood-swiss-cheese-and-mushroom-quiche-434271
  • In addition to the regular meats (turkey, chicken, pork, fish, etc.) we've done stuffed portabella mushrooms, stuffed clams, and peanuts. The peanuts are delish! I've also read you can smoke cheese, but I've never tried it.
  • Is there still time to join? Thinking this could help with motivation.
