  • That is incredibly impressive! Congratulations to you.
  • I totally agree, I feel the same. Even if it's just a 20 minute walk (that I wouldn't have done otherwise), I feel better about myself.
  • So awesome. Congratulations :)

  • This is exactly why I wanted to get fit. I have been off and on for a while now but my biggest victory is when I can go for a run with my teenage kids. They're fit...I'm fit.
  • I run because it is the easiest thing to fit into my routine. The minute I step out the front door I am right into my workout. I love that, no time wasted. It doesn't cost you anything either, so that also fits my budget. Time and Money :)

  • My super-fit, competitive, teenage daughter asked me to go for a jog with her and I didn't stop until she asked if we could. (I might be a little competitive too.) I've been waiting for this day for a long time!
  • It sounds like you've probably tried some of the obvious things, preparing your snacks, not going to work hungry etc...perhaps you'll need to look into a career switch? ;) Any time you have a craving, try drinking a glass of water or having a healthy snack and force yourself to wait 15 or 20 minutes... If you can make it…
  • I'm short on time but I try to squeeze in 20 to 25 minutes each day. A quick run, a power walk with the dog...using some small weights I have at home. Anything I can slip in before work, at lunch or between my kids evening activities. I find being consistent works for me.
  • Very true - I know she's motivated to lose the weight but after 3 kids and 10 years she's a bit scared to read what the scale says...I think she'll get addicted to the logging tool and eventually want to gain control of all aspects... Baby steps. Thanks for all the responses. A
  • I am already trying to plan out which chocolate will be worth my calories...I`m going to make it really count! Which is a huge win for me. Plan. PLAN. Plan! You`ll feel like a million bucks when you come out the other side!
  • I find that I need to switch it up after day 3 or 4. My muscles need a break so I do something else for a day. Last week I went skiing for the day and today I did a longer run. Nothing crazy but trying to make up for the skipped calorie burn while giving different muscles a workout. In all it will likely take me 34 or 35…
  • 1 thing that didn`t change very much is your smile. It`s beautiful in all your photos. But I agree with everyone, what an incredible inspiration. You look fabulous!
  • I`m 6`1 as well. I`ve just started back here!
  • Beer. I miss copious amounts of beer.

  • 6'1" here as well.
  • You've done so well already - don't give up. As one previous poster said, try to make a different goal. Nothing to do with the scale. Make it small, make it achievable. Go for a 15 minute walk. Make it a goal. Do it. Then bask in the glow of your success. Success is contagious...you'll be back to being motivated in no…
  • Thanks everyone! Much appreciated.
  • I am the exact same. It seems to keep me accountable. I don't feel like I cam a slave to it but I love seeing little bits of progress, I'm even happy when it stays the same for a few days because I feel like I've succeeded in keeping off what I've already lost.
  • You've got quite the battle going on! And I think you know that you need to stick with it, it will be sooo worth it in the long run. In month from now you will be so happy you did. I also agree - maybe you shouldn't look at the scale for a few weeks. Take your measurements now....do your thing (traininer, tracking diet,…
  • Absolutely fabulous and inspirational!
