I make my husband do my cooking taste testing. My kids do get some snack stuff, like fruit snacks or mini rice crispie bars, but nothing too crazy. I do keep a stash of mini peanut butter cups for them as little special snacks.

I had my gall bladder out in the beginning of November. Everything went super quick for me. I went to the dr on a Thursday, ultrasound on Friday, removal on Tuesday. Try photography. My husband saw a picture of himself at his heaviest, and was disgusted by his gut and moobs. He joined me at this, and he last lost about 35 lbs too.

I have always struggled with weight, and when I was pregnant with my first child, (now 9), my sister (always skinny, captain of the cheerleaders) told me that I looked better 9 months pregnant than I did pre-pregnancy. I've been doing weigh ins on Sundays or Monday's. That way I have to hold myself accountable all weekend and don't eat a bunch of crap.

I am actually feeling a lot better today, but my incisions are tender and my body is sore. I'm starting to eat real food again, but mostly carbs like bread, toast, crackers. I lost 1.5 lbs last week, but I had my gall bladder taken out 2 days ago, so no exercise until I've recovered.

My husband loves me no matter how much I weigh, but he is encouraging to me in this quest. So encouraging in fact, he has joined me in losing weight. At this time we are both about 20-25 lbs down each. It's really nice to have a partner in this.

I am really into soups right now. I make a beef barley one that is 172 cals a serving, a chicken wild rice that is 97 cals a serving, a ham and lentil that is only 74 cals a serving, and I have the recipe for a southwestern chicken that is 176 cals a serving but I haven't tried it yet.

I made these today. Super yum!!!! I ended up making mine a bit smaller, so mine ended up about 67 cals a piece. Low cal decadence!!

Amanda WLG -10 LTD - 21 WAA -18 I slacked on exercise this past week. MEA weekend really threw me off! MEA basically means that the kids are out of school from Wednesday after lunch until this morning. lol

Its hard to advise without knowing what you are eating. I quit eating bread every day, and only eat it once or twice a week and I've lost, even when I haven't followed through with my exercising.

I have little treats on a semi-regular basis, but they are within my calorie counts, so I don't consider them cheats. Like 2 days ago I had a starbucks frappucino, but it was 100 cals. I usually don't waste my cals drinking stuff like that, but I stayed in my count that day.
