I had blood tests done before I started a low carb diet in Jan 2013 & I have bloods tested every 6 weeks. It's a load of BS that with all of the extra fat that it can be dangerous. My cholesterol is back to normal since I started this. All my blood tests are back to normal or vastly improved. My resting pulse rate is 64 &…

I think that you are entitled to your opinion and that there are a lots of nasty people replying to you. I know how you are feeling and I know how difficult it is to express the feeling. There was just something scuzzy about the guy. If he had been including everybody for even part of the time in the conversation but it…

Yup I feel the same so I use http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/118/2 to create the foods that I use often because I find people have entered the data incorrectly sometimes too. I add everything in grams & use the decimal point. Seems obvious but.......stupid is as stupid does

I have it too. I use it every day for IMs with a friend in South Africa. Very handy

Hi I'm Denise, I'm in Cork, Ireland. I have PCOS that I never managed & it spiraled out of control. I ended up with Type 2 Diabetes & weighed 172Kg /374 lbs. I started working on my weight myself last year & managed to get down 42lbs but then hit a brick wall & started gaining the weight back. But went the route of a…

I have type 2 diabetes that is starting to drop dramatically without medication. I was told that because of not treating my diabetes that…

You are eating a lot of Tesco own brand foods and they sneak in a lot of sugar into their products to mask poor quality, tasteless ingredients. I was in Tescos yesterday with a friend and she was looking at a bag of frozen mixed veg to add to a stirfry and there was sugar in there. When compared to a branded similar…

I used to 2 tsp of sugar with full fat milk. Then I changed it to Candarel. Then I changed to 2% milk. Then I quit with the sweetener but now I just have one cup of black coffee in the AM. I percolate Lavazza D'oro - so good it doesn't need anything extra

Yup no single food made me fat. My lack of self control was the main problem

Add lemons, limes, mint leaves etc to make it more interesting. Usually with flavored water there is some sugar substitute in it to make it taste sweet. If you read articles about this they say they can make you put on more weight in the long run than real sugar

Well done on your achievement so far. My name is Denise you can add me if you like

Welcome. You came to the right place.

You can cut down the cooking time by soaking them overnight. I use 50/50 milk and water. The milk adds to the flavour. But instead of adding sugar etc I just put a tbsp of Greek style yogurt and berries on top. My sister adds a spoon of peanut butter, she says it makes them really creamy

I too have PCOS. My hair was coming out in fistfuls about 2 years ago. I tried Nioxin shampoo but it didn't work for me. I started in a gym and they gave me a diet sheet spread out over 3 meals and 2 snacks that was designed to control my blood sugars. It worked and my hair grew back. Over time however I am back to where I…

You also seem to be drinking too much water. Stick to 8-10 glasses per day. You are eating so little that with that amount of water flushing through your system you will be washing out essential nutrients before they have time to be absorbed

Awareness of the cycles is the first step. Recognize what triggers going off plan. Make a rule with yourself eg when I feel I want to x I'm going to for a 60 min walk. If you write it down it becomes a reality and if you break the rule you cheat yourself and nobody else. And why would you want to cheat yourself? You are…
