To be honest my life is too busy!! I'm sure many people will agree. When I have the time to comment ie. on the weekends or days off work then I do. I still feel encouraged when people "like" my activity so I would hope they feel the same when I do theirs! I would rather my MFPs were busy working out/kicking *kitten*, their…

Saving up? I paid £5 for mine :/

This is actually a good question. I have the same thing at my gym. In the end I did what was right for me, what's the worst that could happen? The other trainers MIGHT take it to heart but they will feel as though they don't have the right to say anything to you & it will soon be forgotten. If they take you for classes…

Congrats! I love this, especially your thanks to each individual person!

Slamming every reply with 'thats not useful' you're probably not going to get many replies now.. let alone useful ones

1. Sub 20 min 5K, this is VERY ambitious as my current PR is 21:37, however, with a parkrun every Saturday I've got 52 shots at it ;) 2. Sub 1:40 HM.. which I hope to achieve in March, then I will set a new goal 3. Sub 45 10K.. which I hope to achieve in Feb then set a new goal 4. STRETCH and stay injury free happy runner…

My game plan is.. >Start at the front >Go off as fast as I can >Spend the rest of the race wondering if I'll be able to keep up the pace  >Pinpointing people to hang on to/catch up with

What I love about this forum: We can gloat :D and when I read through I am genuinely happy for everyone In real life: We bore people with running talk and its considered 'showing off'

I think this website can eventually create a very unhealthy relationship with food. You should not fear any foods. And I'm pretty sure you probably didn't before you joined here right? I took a break from MFP for a year for these reasons.

My HM PR is 1.47 and I did my marathon in 4:04 so I would say, not its not possible or realistic
-
I don't understand your question, you basically answered it yourself.
-
NOTHING.. absolutely nothing.. never had a hobby or did anything that required physical activity!

Parkrun 5K - 22.05 National lottery anniversary 5 mile race - 37.55 First HM this sunday since Feb.. nervous! Arghh

Oh and some useful info for you.. I also have a belt with 4 small bottles and I used to carry a large 750 ml bottle aswel!
-
I tried this once after hearing the idea, had IT band problems half way and got picked up, forgot about my bottles planted all around my town haha.. they had disappeared by the time I went back! LOL:bigsmile:

**What is your regular training pace per mile? I aim for 9 min miles, anything below 5/6 miles I hope for 8:45 **What's your race pace? 5K- 7:20 10K- 8:00 HM- 8:20 Marathon- 9:00 **What do you consider a "fast" pace? Anything under 8:00 p/m **What's your goal pace? The race paces above & hopefully to bring them down

BUMPPPPPP!

If its a relatively 'large' race you'll find that most people will use them anyway! There's no way they can even stop that many people from using them! haha I had the same panic when I read that on the website for my marathon and soon realised it was nothing to worry about!
-
I completed my first full 2 weeks ago :drinker: I haven't run since  Lets not talk about that ha! injured  Feel free to add me!
-
Hmm I can see your worries but I think its too late for you to get another 'long run' in now. I think it depends what you want from your marathon? A friend of mine only went up to 14 miles in training and finished in just over 6 hours. I'd say you've covered enough distance, you don't want to do too much. I did a 15, 17,…

BUMP! I'm in the same situation but with my IT band! been told to do the same as you and no running for at least 3 weeks! I don't know what to do with myself when I can't run
-
Yep I do that!
-
I feel the same, although this website was good for me to initially lose weight ( I really did need to I was 175 lbs ) it has created so many self esteem issues! I don't remember ever being this concerned about my appearance before MFP days!
-
I'm in! currently day 3
-
What they said ^^ and enter more races, I always run faster under race conditions!
