Great information DaveSurf and so true! Thank you for sharing that!

I've been thinking about Lent for quite a while and I'm just not sure what to give up. I've given up a lot since I started my weight loss journey. Whats left? I'm thinking about putting my own spin on it this year and instead of giving up something I want, I'll add something I don't. I really hate running on the treadmill,…

On my back I have 2 horse shoes with the saying "Their hooves pound the rhythm, my heart sings the song" Yeah, I'm a country girl, horse girl.

Again - more great suggestions! I am definitely going to buying some clarifying shampoo on my lunch hour today! Gosh, I never thought I would get so much more out of this site besides weightloss! LOL who'd a thunk it?

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can get in soon for some fixing. I'm afraid to try to correct it myself for fear of making it worse. lol

I don't have an answer for you, but I have the same problem. I'll be interested in the feedback you get. I've always heard the opposite - don't worry if the scale goes up because muscle weighs more - but I have the same issue that you do. I'm glad to see the scale go down, but I'd like to see some inches too.

Thanks for the comments! Yeah, I broke my ticker up into 25lb increments. It just looked too overwhelming to me to see 50lbs on that. When I lose the remaining 19 that it shows now, I actually have another 25 to go. :(

BUMP Isn't there anyone else out there who has this issue? lol

I've been wondering the same thing about which HRM to buy. I have the desire to avoid a chest strap. Mostly because I think my boobs would get in the way. If I looked down, I'd never be able to see it to read it. If you put it under your t-shirt, how do you read it? Do you have to keep pulling your shirt off or something?…

I'm at 179 now. I've been doing this running, but I've also been doing the Insanity DVD program too. I'm on week 3 of that. You'll get there!

Thanks everyone! I do look forward to running outside. In general I enjoy walking and running outside much more. I struggle with finding a place to run that feels safe. We live in a nice neighborhood, but I always have my mom's voice in my head listing off the ways someone could kidnap me, kill me, rape me or any…

LOL "the dreadmill" I love it! There are definitely times I dread getting on that thing!

Thank you so much! I laugh at the calorie counter here - it says jogging starts at 5.0... I don't think my little legs could sprint that fast! lol

I have the same problem. I had to start going to bed earlier.

I struggle with this every day and have for my entire life. I eat when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm mad, when I'm celebrating, when I'm frustrated, when I'm excited, when I've had a really long day, when my day flew by and I couldn't eat a lot I binge that night, when I'm depressed (which, by the way, only makes me…

Hang in there! I've been there before - a couple of years ago. One of the previous posts said to check your liver function - it is a good idea to have a basic blood test done. My doctor told me to consider it because with large changes to nutrition and exercise sometimes things can get a little bit out of balance. It could…

If you have a Kroger store near you, try the Kroger brand CarbMaster yogurt. It comes in lots of awesome flavors and it tastes soooo good. Best thing is it has only a couple carbs and each has 50 or less calories. I picked some up this weekend at my Kroger adn they were 3 for a $1! Another favorite of mine are the Fiber…

Depending on the day and what I have going on, sometimes it easier to convince myself to work out more than once but for shorter times. I'll split my hour work out into 2 half hour sessions. That way I can say, well I only have to work out for 30 minutes and I'll feel like I'm done sooner. Then later on I can say I only…

simple. BRADLEY COOPER!

Wow! You have an amazing story and a very similar journey to my own. I have been here for a while and I only have 1 friend, so feel free to add me! I would LOVE to have some more supportive friends to help motivate me and hopefully I can motivate them as well. My most recent starting weight (I've started and stopped and…

Wow that sounds serious!

LOL LOVE THIS!!

Yeah sometimes it gets red along with the cold. Thats why I am sort of ruling out the lack of blood flow theory because if you lack blood in an area it would be more blue than red. At least I think thats right.

I'm going there in March and I've been worried about the same thing. I've worked so hard to get where I am - I don't want to blow it all by eating Disney crap for a week. Not to mention the cost factor! My plan was a good breakfast in the hotel and then try to keep to simple snacks as best I can find during the day and a…

LMAO - blaming the dog is always my husbands excuse. One time I actually yelled at the dog for growling- except I found out later the noise I heard wasn't the dog growling...
-
LMAO!! Luckily I have not hit a sonic boom level with anyone present! Hopefully it won't happen either!

Thanks everyone for making me feel like a normal person!

I have been eating a lot of apples...
