There really are so many factors as has been mentioned. There were times I would go out thinking I was looking so cute and was putting myself out there with my flirt on and got nadda.. I am a chubby guy and like everyone, working on that. I would just like to be thinner and healthier. Not sure I would ever get buff but we shall see. My SO loves me being a bit bigger than him and being hairy so that is a good thing but still need to lose some.. :)

This is a very interesting topic in that I am just starting down my path of being a better me... again. I think confidence could alter that part of the relationship just as much as not having confidence is now. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I am trying not to think of it of a NY Resolution but rather a lifestyle change but I am just being healthy. Eating smaller portions and making better decisions about food. I am ordering veggies instead of fries or only eating half a sandwich instead of the whole thing. Plus I am doing some exercising but just small things…

I understand what you mean though. My pool is at a gym and I don't know ANYONE there but I am STILL self conscience about it. I hate changing there and getting in / out of the pool. BUT, I have to overcome that in order to get some exercise in.. :)

Swimming is the one exercise that I actually LIKE doing and is easiest on my body. I have arthritis in my needs and back issues so have to be careful what exercising I do. Swimming is something I can do for a long period of time and actually enjoy myself. So is it the best workout? Maybe not. But for someone that likes it…
