  • Chocolate and beer. I will give up eating for the rest of the day just so that I can have my chocolate before bed. Omnomnomnomnom
  • I'm Irish, so I should drink a lot of beer. I'm also Polish, so I can consume mass amounts of meat.
  • Ask your doctor, but most will recommend eating your regular amount of calories until the third trimester and then only adding 300-500 calories for the last three months. Stay active and eat healthy and you shouldn't have any angry comments from your doctor if everything is progressing normally.
  • I use it when I feel a cold coming on and it helps shorten the cold. I also use it on salads and to make dilly beans. I don't know if it works for weight loss or anything else, but it tastes nice when added to other things.
  • Bad food. Good food. Whatever. When I want something, I want it, and I will not tell myself no just because it's basically sugar flavored chemicals.
  • I need all the help I can get! I thought that coming back to MFP and setting a goal would be enough, but it's not. I am sooo slipping on my meals. :(
  • Everybody I know that did some form of banding regrets it. Many have had to go in to fix slipping issues, which meant another surgery, more pain, extra scarring, and more recovery. They will be on vitamins for the rest of their lives. They did not learn how to eat properly, so most of them gained it back after a year or…
  • Totally a Monday thing...
  • I wanted to lose 10 pounds, but in reality, I lost like 2... Now I'm over 100 days in and still only at 11 pounds down, depending on the day. Yay my body...
  • Well, I don't care about panty lines, so I just wear bikini cut. They don't ride up as easily. They're fine on the treadmill, elliptical, and bench, but they still migrate during squats and some other leg machines. If you don't want panty lines, go commando. If you don't want to risk heat rash, sweat issues, etc. just give…
  • I've gotten binary migraines since hitting puberty, so I feel your pain. They have lessened since I started taking magnesium tablets and a B complex, but I still get a few a month. Thankfully, my job is understanding and allows me to work from home on these days, but I'll be honest, I don't really get anything done. I do…
  • Some restaurants have better menus than others. If you really don't have the time to cook and the space to keep food, that's going to be the best option. If you can make room in your fridge, store bought fruit salads, pasta salads, cheese, and sandwiches are a quick option for you and the kiddos. You could even do egg…
  • It makes you sweat more from your midsection. I guess that would help "shape" you for like an hour, until you drank more fluids and rehydrated.
  • Taken, most days pretty happy with it. Some days, thinking about murdering him.
  • Eh... saying that I'm on a diet gets me out of things that I don't want to attend, so yes, then I'm on a diet.
  • The treadmill always does me in. All of the movement tends to rustle your insides and gas just decides to make its way out. Not much you can do about it. Get a machine with a fan or wear an air freshener in your pants.
  • The first time, it was for a guy. Clearly... the weight loss didn't stick and I got sick of the guy. This time, I'm just so unhappy with myself for letting myself go this far. My clothes are tight. I'm tired all the time. I can't do some of the things that I want/need to do. Plus, now I have a man that loves me for my…
  • I bought one and it really did motivate me at first. I made sure I got in 10,000 steps every single day. Now... I wear it every day, but I rarely make any of my goals anymore. So basically, it's just a really expensive bracelet.
  • Are you possibly confusing the stomach growls of a food allergy with the stomach growls you perceive as hunger? Maybe you aren't getting enough substance from your meals. 400 calories of beer is not as filling as 400 calories of salad or chicken, ya know? Protein and fiber help you feel full. Maybe re-evaluate your food…
  • I love homemade baked goods. They are my downfall. I just try to eat them in moderation. A few times I've had to skip a meal because I made a cake... totally worth it. I made cake my breakfast today, also worth it.
  • I have been on Avian and Ocella and neither one MADE me gain weight. I gained weight because I ate like crap. Avian was such a low dose that it didn't work for me, constant spotting, moodiness, feeling blah, etc. I've been on Ocella for five years now and haven't had many problems. I take it continuously because I have…
  • My confession from Friday... I got really drunk on beer that was not labeled "lite", got home, crawled into bed, and ordered pizza, then made my boyfriend stay up until the pizza came and hand deliver it to me in bed. I'm not a nice drunk, very bossy, no fun, shocked he hasn't left me yet.
  • I loosened up during my maintenance period and gained back 40 pounds. Yeah, no stopping to my logging anymore.
  • Don't bother. The money would be better spent on a gym membership, fresh produce, or someone to follow you around and slap the cookies out of your hand. Nothing against cookies here, I love them, I just need less of them, which I suspect is a problem for many of us.
  • Personally, not having breakfast would make me one cranky lady, but it wouldn't have any ill effect on my weight. Just fit everything into your daily calories and you'll be fine.
  • First of all, is your doctor looking for a food allergy or intolerance? That would be the biggest reason to weigh in every day instead of every week. If he's looking for an issue with food digestion, please keep track of what you eat and what you weigh each day. Sometimes, it's as simple as finding the allergy and altering…

  • This is day 101 in a row for me. Add me if you want. I try my best to send words of encouragement every few days. Some weeks are better than others.
