  • Totally agree! I always had issues but doctors never connected the dots. It wasn't until after my son was born that my doctor said "I think it might be PCOS" but offered no help beyond that. My next doctor said she didn't think it was PCOS because I had gotten my weight controlled and was lucky enough to not have "severe…
  • Hi there! I'm East of Columbus too! I live in Canal Winchester. :-)
  • Hi there! I am originally from Southern California but I moved here to the Columbus area 4 years ago. I am a Junior at OSU, married and have 2 very busy teenagers.
  • you really should eat your minimum calories 1200 or as close to it as you can. Do you do any housework? It can count as exercise too. Try eating foods that are higher in protein when you do eat, that will help you feel full longer and give your body the fuel that it needs.
  • Stay away with anything creamy or fried for starters. If you can find a dish that is either vegetarian or has a lean meat then go with that. Stay away from the EXTRAS like bread on the table and dipping sauces. I'm not familiar with the restaurant so I'm not much help in that department...sorry.
  • Totally understand where you are coming from. I LOVE my sweets. I have learned that I am allowed some sweets now and then within reason if I EARN them. I will work out and extra 20 minutes to be able to have 1/2 cup of sherbert. Or just 2 pieces of chocolate. :) Just stay focused and keep track of everything. That is the…
  • That is AWESOME! Keep up the good work!
  • You can scramble an egg white and place it on top of a whole wheat english muffin with a little fat free cheese.... I usually forego the cheese all together though. Another one I like is A fruit smoothie. I buy the GNC Lean Shake Vanilla or Strawberry powder. It is only 180 calories when mixed with water and ice. I like to…
  • Thank you everyone! I realize it is a very large goal...and I'm fully aware that most likely losing that amount in a year is not going to happen. Honestly, I would be eleated with 40 pounds in a year. But think about it....they tell us that 1.5-2 pounds a week is healthy and average. SO I figure, if I can lose at least 100…
  • Hi there! I'm new to Ohio (been here a year but still feel new). I don't have a lot of friends, and I am struggling to lose some weight. Looking to make some new friends, find some support and offer the same. Anyone out there?
  • I don't always log my water in. I think this is because I know that I'm drinking more than enough water on a regular basis. I drink at least 2.5 Quarts of water each day. If it is very hot or I have been very active then I will drink up to a gallon of water in a single day.
  • Welcome back and good luck! I lost 55 pounds for my wedding in 2008 and gained 45 of it back really quickly too. Everyone kept saying "happiness will do that to you" but it just depressed me more. I'm getting back on track too and hoping this site will help me out as well. Good luck and good to meet ya!
