I eat a good 300-350 calories of breakfast each day. To me, it's important that I eat a good, wholesome meal in the morning right when I wake up so that I have energy and fuel for the entire day. Studies show that people who eat good breakfasts in the morning are more successful with weight loss and tend to feel mentally…

I would say that you can add that to your burned calories. As far as aerobics go, you probably burn more calories moving around then just taking steps, so I don't. think it would be accurate in determining the number of calories burned

I made a post about this this morning. I actually just bought Special K Protein Plus. It has 10 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. It tastes like Raisin Bran flakes and I mix mine with granola cereal, unsalted trail mix, or fresh fruit like blueberries and bananas slices. I'll have a glass of orange juice with it. I…

How come?

I'm not a big soda drinker, but I don't think a can a day will do much to you. I have heard that diet soda is bad, but it doesn't have calories, fat, sugar, or caffeine (some do, some don't) so I think it's ok once in a while. I drink a few cans a week, maybe 3.

I've heard mixed reviews about it. But I tried it anyway because I need the nutrients and I'm glad I did because I love it.

I found my new favorite breakfast meal! Special K Protein Plus. It's not at all what I expected it to be. It tastes like the flakes from Raisin Bran, just less sweet. Anyway, I do 3/4 a cup of that, then I do 2/3 a cup of Cascadian Farms Organic Honey and Oats Granola and mix that in so it flavors it up a little bit (I…

I might have one cheat day a week, and it's usually on the weekends, although this week, it was yesterday. A lot of times, my boyfriend and I eat out, or we are having family functions or just hanging out by the fire pit in my backyard. By me saying "cheat foods" I'm talking more than one/two beers and a bag of buttery…

We have the same problem. I'll eat whatever I can get my hands on.. it's so bad that I'll wake up at 2 or 3AM and HAVE to go get something to eat, whether it be an Oreo or bite of rice from dinner. Lately, I've been eating extra dark chocolate (it's not bad for you) and drinking lowfat chocolate milk (I hate regular milk,…

The problem with low carb is you are really limited as to what you can eat. Low calorie, you choose the foods you love, in smaller portions. For me, it's easier because I find that when I deprive myself of the foods I love, I tend to get off track, over eat, and gain weight.

Eating too close to bed is no good for you, unless like everyone else said, it's a light snack. I try to eat dinner before 7, then for a snack, I'll have some Goldfish, a banana, or some popcorn with a little bit Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it. Remember that your metabolism slows down when you're sleeping, although you…

How much fiber should you consume on a daily basis? I NEVER eat fiber, and I just had those Arnold Sandwich thins.. the whole wheat kind that has about 6g of fiber in it, and my stomach is in knots right now, I feel sick.

Haha, you're so cute!

I was also thinking this.. 2 seems too little. The average person should at LEAST be getting 3 days in of 30-60 minutes depending on age, and how much you're trying to lose. You need to make sure you're burning calories too, so do lots of cardio.

Actually yes, I tend to eat slower and I feel like there is more food on my plate. I take my time to chew everything more when it's in pieces. But then again, I tend to rip my foods apart as I eat them anyway, some way or another. Like bagels (which I don't eat anymore), I rip them into small pieces. No idea why haha.

Have you gotten your thyroid tested? You may have a thyroid complication which makes it difficult to lose/gain weight. That's odd that it's been 6 months and you haven't seen any results.

As some of you already know from my other posts, I have, what I think to be, an apple allergy, as well as some other fruits including strawberries and possibly blueberries. I can eat applesauce, and juice, just not apples. Even without the peel. I also cannot eat almonds, walnuts and pistachios. When I eat any of these, my…

My best friend is the same way with peeling potatoes, she thinks it's the starch, but she starts sneezing, breaks out in hives, gets really itchy, and her eyes start watering. It's weird haha. I don't peel potatoes, so I don't know if I would have the same reaction. The tree nut allergy came later.. I can eat things that…

With all the help you've all given me, you helped me make my first grocery shopping trip for buying healthy foods THAT much easier. Here's what I got: Arnold Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins (just had a sandwich.. and OMG I LOVE THEM! I HATE regular bread, and whole wheat/grain rolls have too much to them for me.. so these were…

No that all was very helpful. I can eat melons, and applesauce.. I can drink apple juice as well (although I choose not to because it stains my teeth and is LOADED with sugars) It's just plain old apples I can't eat. Someone at my work mentioned it might be the pesticides they are cleaned with, which might make sense…

I've tried the chocolate haha.. I had the same problem. I actually didn't care for the chocolate in the cereal. I felt the pieces were too big, I was expecting small shavings. And it made the flakes taste too sweet for me. Now did you lose a lot of weight in the 2 weeks that you did it? Or did you continue after the 2…

The Special K Challenge consists of replacing two meals a day with Special K cereals or meal bars. I will be purchasing the Low Carb High Protein cereal (for protein), and be eating it along with a fruit for both meals (orange, grapes, etc). For dinner, I would eat lean meats such as chicken, along with a salad and a…

The brand I would like to get has 10g of protein per serving, 5g of fiber, 2g sugar, and 14g carbs. It will be eaten with yogurt and fruits. I'm allowed one "free" meal a day, which will consist of probably salad or chicken, so I get more protein. This way, I get my lean meats, my whole grains, fruits, and vegetables daily.
-
That's the one I want to get! I love yogurt so much haha, I have a hard time buying it though because I hate the kinds with the chunks of fruit. The texture grosses me out. But I was actually looking at the Low Carb High Protein one because I need less carbs, and MUCH more protein in my diet. We should try doing it…

Has anyone ever done it? I'm getting bored with my breakfasts and I'm not a fan of sandwiches for lunch, so I'd like to try it. My boyfriend says I'll get bored eating it for breakfast and lunch, but the way I think of it, it's only 2 freaking weeks! I think I can do it, I'll just change it up everyday by putting different…

I am on a 1200 calorie diet daily. Usually I meet the calorie requirement, sometimes I'll go over by 100 or 200, but I also burn about 350 exercising.

Here is the problem that I have with fruits; a few years ago, I ate an apple and my throat and ears got really itchy, and I haven't been able to eat one since. Same with almonds.. I believe I have a tree nut allergy (a minor one), because I cannot eat almonds, walnuts, pistachios, or anything of that sort. My mouth gets…

In the morning, I have a Trix yogurt cup and a Quaker's Chocolate Rice Cake with less than a tbsp of Jif Peanut Butter on it. I usually won't have a snack between breakfast and lunch, and when I do it's maybe like a handful of Whole Grain Goldfish or a few Original Triscuits. For lunch, I'll either have a cup of Macaroni…

Water is honestly the most nutritious thing for you on this planet. It helps your skin feel hydrated, and flushes toxins from the body.. including sodium. Be sure to never weigh yourself after drinking a lot of water though, which is pretty obvious, as the scale numbers will creep up from all the water weight. What I do is…

Personally, I believe over the counter diet supplements/pills are dangerous to your health. My friend actually just bought some all-natural capsules and out of habit, I gave her the lecture. She said the salesman at GNC said there is nothing in there, it's all natural, yet my question is, how do you lose weight on it…
