I wear a HRM when I do an hour Crossfit class and I usually burn between 600 and 800 calories depending on what it's the workout.

I've been doing Crossfit for about 7 months and when I first started, I would use my HRM and get about a 700 cal burn. I haven't used it in a long time and just use 700 calories as a guide. It's just a estimate anyway.

Reebok Nano's are really nice, but they are kinda wide. Innov8 are more narrow and are a really good shoe. You can find them on 6pm.com for really cheap.

Hey Paul, I'm sorry I don't have any good ideas. The only thing I can think of is that maybe a crossfit gym might be able to make a workout that would give you a good sweat. Good luck

You're doing great. Don't use the scale as a measure of success. It really doesn't tell the whole story.

If you watch the video you'll see it's about Adaptive athletes overcoming tremendous obstacles and performing at a high level. Don't let your hate or prejudice of Crossfit stop you from watching a very motivating video.

I know that there are some injuries that you can't recover from. I have a problem with my knee from playing hockey. But so what. My wife tore both of her acl's( 3 years apart) playing ice hockey and she still plays every week. The possibility of getting hurt is there, but so is the possibility of having a great time and I…

I think of Crossfit as a sport, not a exercise plan or a workout. And guess what, sometimes you get hurt playing sports. It's fun, it's hard, it's a community, and I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon. If I get injured, I will get it fixed and start again as soon as I can.

I wear a HRM when I mountain bike. On the 11 mile loop that I do, I burn between 900 and 1100 depending on how hard I push. I usually do it in less than a hour and the faster I go the less burn I get, because it's over faster. But it's not exactly a easy loop, there are lots of uphills and downhills which makes it like a…

I just started doing Crossfit this month and really am enjoying it. I'm not worried about getting injured, because I have a coach watching me the whole time and I'm not going to let my ego lift more than I'm ready for. Besides getting injured is part of every sport I have ever played. If I would have listened to all the…

Yes, it's a ton of fun. I used to race motocross so for me it's a natural and I get a great workout from it.

I use mine for cycling all the time. The one I use is the http://www.sportline.com/products/heart-rate-monitors/cardio-660-heartrate-mens.html. I like it because it tracks calories and shows my heart rate at the same time on the same screen. On a side note, are you not supposed to eat back your exercise calories? I thought…
