  • I never count the amount of water I drink. I just drink water when I feel thirsty.
  • Stress is a contributing factor to weight gain. Since your body(adrenal glands) produce Cortisol under stress. Which basically causes our body to store more fat. It's hard to avoid the daily stresses in our lives. Just trying to control it is challenging and stressful enough. How often do you exercise or stay active?…
  • I taper my meals down by the time it's dinner which around 7pm. But honestly it doesn't matter when I consume most my calories. As long as my calorie consumption is within my daily allowance or within my calorie deficit.
  • Nice, I'm @ 44 pounds = an elephant’s heart
  • Snack size carrot sticks, beef/turkey, etc. jurkey. Those are my usual/daily snacks.
  • Calories are in the dough and cheese, but depending on size and where your ordering from. You can look up the calories per slice and fit that in within your calorie allowance for the day. A typical medium size pepperoni w/cheese; 1-slice is around 230-270 calories.

  • I CAN eat my exercise calories, I just choose not to. Or I'll consume half of it. Purpose of burning calories through exercise is to increase your calorie deficit. But at the same time, consuming the proper daily amount of macros.
  • I do it 1x or 1x every other week. I don't count the calories etc. I just make sure I don't consume an excess of 3,500cals(1lb) on top of maintenance. And I'm pretty confident I don't end up eating that much in excess anyway. Also for someone with my stats, and current active lifestyle. My maintenance cals is around 2,500…
  • I have yet to run in the rain, sounds like fun. But since I wear eyeglasses, it would be real irritating and annoying to having wipe my eyeglasses every second. On top of that I don't wear eye contacts either anymore, got tired of them. =(
  • How active is your daily lifestyle? If you tend to sit down in front of a computer all day with limited movement. You will surely get hungry from inactivity. Also, are you exercising a lot? Most people who exercise regularly or on a daily basis, will consume meals more frequently or eat more satiable meals. Meals that are…
  • If I have a cheat meal its 1x a week or 1x every other week. And when I do have my cheat meal, I don't count calories. I just eat anything and everything. Then jump back on track the following day, and that's it.
  • It all depends on the intensity of your exercises. Does it involve strenuous muscle exercises, or just body weight or cardio exercises? If your doing weights, I would suggest a rest day 1-2x a week. To allow your body to recover, rebuild and replenish. If it's just cardio, and body weight. You can surely do 7x a week if…
  • I only drink diet sodas, as regular taste wierd to me. I try limiting my Diet soda to 1-2 bottles/cans about 1x a week if I'm craving. It makes me feel bloated, and gassy to where I end up burping a lot. So I usually drink Diet sports drinks or Diet teas. Since they don't give me that feeling. I honestly only drink water…
  • Absolutely, if your at a calorie deficit and under your maintenance. No way your going to gain weight, cause your not even consuming enough calories to hit maintenance. By eating "whatever you want" your macro-nutrients will be completely out of wack. You won't be consuming the proper amount of macros, even though your…
  • Fruits and others a like are calories period. Your body registers all food as calories through fats/protein/carbs. Sugar is a carb which equals calories, 4-calories to be exact. Eat ANY kind of fruit that you like, as long as the total caloric value of the fruit you consume doesn't go above your total calorie allowance for…
  • I can only think of is roasting the variety of squashes in the oven. Until they become soft and have the consistency of like mash potatoes. And you can basically make it into anything from there. Along with asparagus, roasting in the oven with your choice of oil.
  • If exercise is painstakingly difficult for her. Focus on the diet aspect first, and as she starts to lose weight even without exercising. She can slowly do exercises that won't put too much stress on her joints or any other ailing body parts. At this point, encouraging her how you've lost weight should help up lift her…
  • You'll just retain water, feel a bit bloat due to the extra water absorbed from the sodium intake. But you will easily lose it after a day or so if you get back on your diet, and do your normal exercise routine. Nothing to lose sleep over, I promise you that.
  • Have you tried taking measurements, and seeing if you've lost inches within the past 2 weeks that you've been active? Do you know what ratio in macros(fats/carbs/protein) your consuming? Like some have said a plateau will definitely last longer than 2 weeks. Just be patient, continue with eating at a calorie deficit. You…
  • Don't stress yourself by comparing different calculators. Each will always be different, stick to just one and follow it. BMR is basically your basal metabolic rate, I'm sure you know what that entails. It's perfectly fine to eat less than what your body burns naturally being alive. You just need to monitor your…
  • Remember alcohol is also a calorie, it's registered as 7-calories per gram. Just like any other calorie from fat/carbs/protein, alcohol is the same. But derives from sugar nonetheless which is a carb. You don't have to eliminate alcohol, just drink it in moderation and make sure that the calories in the alcohol you choose…

  • Fruits alone have natural sugar, i don't think there can be a Natural sugar free fruit juice. It will be sweetened with something, in which case sucralose is substituted. They have to remove all the sugar molecules in fruit and replace it with sucralose, I'm sure it's been done all over the U.S. There are low sugar fruit…
  • Hmmm, are you measuring properly? 25lbs is a lot and to not see 1 inch loss, that is very odd and never heard that before. Even if someone had liposuction, etc. They would have excess skin which won't affect much on inches lost. But in your case, you should definitely recheck your measurements. Waist, arms, chest, etc.
  • I don't really pay attention to orgranic or non organic foods. I just watch what I eat and see the progress, lol.
  • Unfortunately some people are just born with strong body odor. Deodorant can only do so much to mask the stench. The smell comes from the sweat pores in our skin. If people noticed their own body odor, and took care of it a bit better. I'm sure the gym wouldn't smell as bad, lol. Talking on the phone is quite annoying…
  • It will always come down to your dieting. Professional body builders when it's competition time and there days away. They fine tune their diet in order to come on stage peeled, ripped, etc. And they only increase their cardio time if they even do it. Same goes for the average person. If your trying to lose that last…
  • Your best option would be to exercise outside the house. That way you avoid having any interruptions in your exercise by anyone in your family. And you can focus only on yourself. If you have gym membership utilize it, if you can run around a park, blocks, etc. You honestly need to get away and have your own space. I'm…
  • Calorie deficit= weight loss. Eat under your maintenance calories, while consuming the proper amount of macro-nutrients. And you will lose weight without even exercising. But if you add exercise, your increasing the efficiency of your weight loss. Count calories, count macro-nutrients, eat under maintenance. And watch the…
  • Don't focus on the scale as one has suggested. Are you a differences in inches lost around your waist, arms, etc.? That where you will see significant changes if not the scale. For me I lost nearly another 1.5" around my waist in a over a week, and the scale negligibly changed by a 1/4 to 1/2 a pound. Be sure to monitor…
  • i focus solely on the calorie content, then I look at grams of protein and carbs, fat's is the least of my worries. If it contains a certain amount of protein and carbs, I will eat it up. But regardless, if the calorie value of the food item fits within my calorie allowance for the day along with macro-nutrients. Then I…
