  • I wear a heart rate monitor when I work out and swimming for me is about 1/2 the calories burned than cardio outside the pool. But it does depend on what you're doing for cardio in the gym. I think for me, its lower because I get tired quicker because of my breathing (which I continue to struggle with).

  • Yes - MFP's calories burned for activities is usually much higher for me than what I burn for some activities and then lower for others. Just a reminder how important it is to use a HRM!!!!
  • My doctors say I have PCOS though I've never been formally diagnosed since I don't plan on having children.
