  • My 7 year old granddaughter spent some time with me this summer while her parents worked. Our caller ID comes across our TV when it's on. We have medical bill collectors call and I choose to ignore them as I am paying and doing the best I can. My granddaughter asked me "Who keeps calling?" I told her "the bill collector".…
  • WOW! You have made huge progress...you look great!
  • Beautiful girl...lovely idea.
  • Mine always do that too. They go down pretty fast afterwards. I think it's just gravity and increased circulation during the swinging while you walk...kind of like a centrifuge.
  • Fantastic! What an enormous accomplishment. Treat yourself to something nice to wear!
  • I've done P90X for one cycle and my husband did it for 3 years (with some change ups). It burns massive calories. Try the 2000 calories and weigh yourself once a week. If it looks like your gaining, trim it down by 250 calories per day, give it a couple of weeks and check again. I am 5'6.5 and 192 lbs.. I tore my ACL doing…
  • As long as you've been checked for diabetes...it's probably ok. I drink a lot of water...sometimes 2 gallons a day. I need it, I crave it. If I have sweat a lot during a work out Trader Joe's electrolyte water is my drink. It just keeps me from getting depleted. You probably have great skin too!
  • Amazing! Those choices add up to lost pounds...good job!
  • Guys shouldn't train girls unless they are willing to understand that WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT! Women can weight train with the best of the men but if you are new to it...go slow at first. Work on form, try different exercises for different muscle groups and test your ability to complete 10-12 reps with proper form for each…
  • I'm 5'7" and CW 192 with a GW of 165. I am two sizes bigger on top wearing a size 12 pant and a 16-18 top. My body fat is around 27% so I ignore the BMI because I do have a lot of muscle along with the fat. I am 53 and want my insides to look great as well as my outside. I have been working with a trainer 2x per week and…
  • BMI is for people with little or no muscle. It is inaccurate for those with muscled physics. Jillian Michaels, as well as many other professionals, will tell you not to use it. The biggest indicator should be how you look (skin condition, muscle tone, palour), feel and perform your daily activities.
  • Yes...good orthotics will improve your quality of life. I spent 13 years standing for 8-12 hours on a concrete floor and had gotten so I couldn't make it through the day. Once I started wearing them, I could work for long hours and feel great. I have them for my flip flops and sandals too. There are a lot of inexpensive…
  • What an inspirational story...thanks for sharing. You are also a fabulous role model for kids by demostrating that you don't have to be a professional athlete or celebrity to accomplish Rock Star status. You Rock!
  • Love it! Made me laugh!
  • I love Gilad's workouts. He has the Express workouts, Core and More, Power and Grace and many more. He is a great trainer and you can modify if you need to. You don't need a lot of equipment and he explains everything very well. Google his name and you can find his dvd's which are very affordable. You can add more weight…
  • I have worked out at gyms and at home. Home workouts can be great if you have enough equipment. You don't have to primp or wear anything attractive and you save the commute time to the facility which can be the entire length of a workout. The downside is interruptions. The phone rings, the FedEx guy needs a signature, the…
  • I don't know if this will work for you but my trainer has me eat my regular calorie intake 3 days per week (whatever that is for your body) and then eat about 250 more for 2 days per week and 250 less on the other 2 days. This causes confusion so your body is less prone to storing fat. It works on the same principal as…
