  • add me if you would like. I lost 100 lbs in 4 mo's with low carb/keto. Absolutely great use of biochem for weight loss.
  • For a guy who preaches Protein, Protein, Protein...I am going to dissent (sort of!). Too much protein can harm your body. (that ought to get some people flying off the proverbial handle...especially if they don't read on). It all depends on your weight, activity level and you need to flush with water...a lot. Most people…
  • This ^^^^ I say you lose weight in the kitchen and build muscle in the gym. Anyone who says you have to exercise to lose weight is wrong. In fact, you will more than likely gain some (especially at first) and depending on your diet you may never see the scale go down (although you will lose some fat). I lost almost all of…
  • I thought I read it was 1 g per 2 lbs...am I remembering this wrong?

  • I swear to God this book was within arms length and it is not porn...In fact it is a book about spending time with your kids called "To a Child, Love is Spelled T-I-M-E"...but here is the first line on page 45... "...explosion would drive us backward, often in a knee-buckling tumble, and always with screams of delight."…
  • I just noticed you are diabetic...you should probably consult your doctor. I have seen people beat diabetes with the proper diet. As Hypocrites said, "let food be they medicine". I beat HBP (175/145 at the highest) with food. Good Luck!!

  • The number I have learned to go by is 1 gram for every 2 pounds of body weight. So a 150 lb person should consume 75 grams of protein per day. Carbs would be debatable and you will get plenty of wildly varying advice on here for that one. IMO, it depends on what you are trying to do. Are you wanting to lose or maintain or…

  • I really liked reading this reply!! If only we all looked at people this way. The beauty is in the imperfections. I believe a Zen Master actually said something like that.
  • Fage 0%...I completely agree with many of the comments about the macros. The 1 cup comment earlier is right on. I get Walden Farms Strawberry syrup (they have blueberry too) and mix it in. It tastes great and if you aren't familiar with Walden Farms, it is 0 every thing. No fat/protein/carbs/sugar/gluten...nothing. But it…
  • I have 10 and 12 y/o girls...we started geocaching last year...they LOVE it. If we are truly hiking, I will pack some water bottles and nutragrian bars or something and we stop along the way for a snack...for some reason they really like that part of it.
  • I've wondered this but never thought much about the makeup and hair other than they are probably kinda looking to meet someone...to each his/her own. But what bugs me is there are a couple of ladies who pour on the perfume! It is so bad that I find it hard to breathe when I am on the treadmill next to them. The last time…
  • Just remember...It puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again!
  • Some great answers here so I am just chipping in.... I love that someone defined "weight loss" is fat loss. You can build muscle and lose no fat. They are two completely different parts of your body. Muscle doesn't "eat" the fat cells. Metabolism does. If you are eating right and your body needs more calories than you are…
  • oooo...see, I should have read before posting! ^^^^^^all of this
  • I didn't take the time to read all posts so I'm sorry if I am repeating but here goes... If you can find a store near you that carries Walden Farms...get some of those to try. They are 0 everything (carbs, fat, sodium...everything). I get the 0 fat Greek Yogurt and the Walden Farms strawberry syrup...very good "sweet"…
  • Awesome post....love the way you wrote it!! Good for you...you made that pavement your biotch! LOL
  • MIO!!! Its the best....zero everything and plenty of flavors to choose from. Just don't get the energy one as it has sugar.
  • I lost 34 in my first month...15 of that was in the first week!
  • I'll send you a request too...I'm a new runner also and would love to learn from others. Mostly how to eat right during training as well as before a race. Just muddling my way along on my own is probably not the best. I am running the Chicago Half Marathon in September and will be finding some 5 and 10K's to run in over…
  • MIO!!! Not the energy one though as that has sugar. Regular Mio has 0 everything! I drink only water then Mio with meals to make it a treat (even though I know it's only a flavor treat and doesn't add any cals/sugar/carbs/etc.)
  • Lately its been Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance...perfect for a 7.2 mile/hr pace.
  • is it the Spartan Challenge by any chance?
  • find a store with a Walden Farms section...0% everything! That Greek Yogurt that was mentioned by a few people...Walden farms Jelly or Syrup makes it very yummy and it adds nothing in Cals, Fat, Carbs, etc. It has to be Walden Farms though.
  • People concentrate on the number of calories too much...its the type of food you are eating that matters the most. You should do some research on Protein, Carbs, and Fat (ultimately cutting and leveling the glucose/insulin in your body to a fat burning -not muscle burning- level)...those 3 things are what will determine if…
  • Glycogen...you can get it at any drug store. I won't go into the reasons building muscle, drinking water, and all the other things posted will not actually address loose skin...you need to increase the level of glycogen in your system. Eat jello and/or take glycogen supplements.

  • Cheers to this!! Couldn't have said it better!
