  • If you don't want the hassle of worying about exercise calories, you could try using the TDEE method. I used this site: http://www.thefitgirls.com/weight-loss-calculator.aspx With this you have a daily allowance based on your weekly workout aims, so you eat to your calorie goal and then don't even think about the exercise…
  • I am doing the 30 days abs challenge and the 30 day squat challenge at the same time, on top of my usual workouts. Unfortunately, 3 days in and I've pulled my hamstring and have been instructed by by physio to rest for a minimum of 3 days :(. I'm really upset as I was so looking forward to it.
  • I have been losing now for around 7 months and have lost 46lb in that time. I have tried several dfferent methods of calorie counting but the one I find the best is following TDEE and making sure I eat pretty much all of my calories every day. I started out on 1200 and although that worked at first, my loss soon came to a…
  • This happened to me too, my weight stood still at 1200 calories however when I put it up to 1500 I saw a loss of the scales of 8lb in 10 days! I have since switched the the TDEE method rather than the MFP calorie goal and now eat around 1650 per day. I have been doing this for 4 weeks now and have lost 7lbs, which I am…
  • Hello, I have done both but find calorie counting on MFP much better for me personally. I guess it depends 'how' you're wanting to eat though. What I mean by this is, are you intending to eat nutritionally well, or just calorie count 'regular' foods. If you just want a method of counting regular foods then WW might be…
  • Or you manage to overhydrate? You're a gonner!
  • WOW! You are such an inspiration. And pretty hot too, if you don't mind me saying! Well done you :)
  • Yeah I'm British too always get asked 'So what is that in stones?' lol
  • The pie chart doesn't show how much you have left, it just shows the breakdown of the food you have eaten so far e.g.if it's early in the day and you've only recorded your breakfast - let's just say you'eve had scrambled eggs for breakfast - it will show a high percentage of fat and a protein and very little carbs. It's no…
  • I eat 1500-1600 with exercise but make sure i never, ever net below 1200.
  • Congratulations on your amazing achievement so far, you look great :). And double well done for the healthy attitude - It is far too easy to get obsessed with the number on the scales. Good luck with losing the last 8kg and have a great holiday when the time comes.
  • I personally think it's different strokes for different folks. I was eating either just on or just below 1200 and exercising most days too. At first the weight was falling off quickly but in February I pretty much stuck, losing only 2.5lb in the whole of February despite doing nothing different. I decided (after advice to…
  • I weigh and measure absolutely every little thing on a digital scale I eat and am recording every thing on mfp actually!
  • I am wondering the very same thing! I got the shot in late December, I had no problem losing weight in januray (lost 10lb over the month) but February was terrible, only lost 3 pounds in the whole month despite sticking to 1200 cals per day and working out cardio 4 times per week. I can see real changes in my body through…
  • Hi, I got my first shot of Depo Provera on 20th December, gained some Christmas weight, but so far in 2014 I have lost 15lb. However these last 3 weeks my weight loss has really slowed down (3 pounds in 3 weeks) and I was starting to wonder if if the DP is to blame. However, I do not suffer any hunger from this and am…
  • Hi, I'm not sure what 'Curves' is exactly but I do a few of the Davina DVD's and they aren't listed either so I log them under aerobics - there are 3 categories to choose from, Low Impact, General or High Impact - so I just select depending on which workout I do. Hope that helps :)
