  • Just in case this is a semi serious post :-) I built the equivalent of MFP into a google docs spreadsheet (i.e. excel), believe it or not, for our older dog! She was rather overweight and needed to loose at least 5 lbs before going in for Anterior Cruciate Ligament surgery (she was 105lbs at the time and they wanted her…
  • See signature image :-)
  • I understand your worry completely... 903 day streak here! Perhaps the hotel has a guest computer with an internet connection down in the lobby (I know that when I stayed in Nassau for vacation a couple of years back they did (note that I track everything, good or bad, simply because I value the ability to look back).
  • Yup, still using MFP ( Just got the message "..has logged in for 870 days in a row!" in fact) and lurking the forums. Still playing WoW as well (granted pretty much I am only logging in on during the weekend).
  • After over 100lbs lost here and all I can say in regards to keeping off the loose skin is that it overall comes down to the roll of the genetic dice. Some people will show no signs of it, while others (like myself) will look good with clothes on, but a bit of a mess with them off.. For the record, all of my loose skin is…
  • a bit over a 100lb difference between the two...
  • Not so sure I qualify for the "Hot" part, but definitely went through a transformation From this... (prior to 2003; 305+ish pounds) ...to this (2012; 200ish pounds) NOTE: Same Iguana in both pictures, she has just a bit larger in the more recent pic. and an old fat-me picture from me winning a cake baking competition in…
  • tamsin66, You are taking the right step by using this site and tracking your caloric/carb/sugar intakes! As an example, I myself started my health journey when I got diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes back in July 2010; these were my vitals back then: Weight 300ish pounds Blood Sugar - Over 250 Triglycerides - over 1600…
  • jobean12, which 5k are you running in 2 weeks? I myself am signed up to run the Color Me Rad 5k in May 5th (first 5k ever for me as well)!
  • Let me preference this with the fact that I "dislike" running/jogging, but I will be continuing to do it at least through the beginning on May :-) I bought my first pair of Vibram KSO's about 3 years ago when I was still around 280ish pounds. At the time I had seen an article online talking about modern shoes perhaps…
  • I am still subscribed to the group and keep an eye out for new posts, but sadly there does not seem to be much activity overall. As far as my WoW-time goes, I have been actively playing since Dec 2004 on the Eonar US realm. While my play time has decreased somewhat while I have been getting healthier, I still manage to log…
  • I recently finished the Couch 2 5k program and will be running my first 5k "Color Me Rad" event on May 5th! And like others in this thread, I highly recommend the Couch 2 5k program; I went from having problems jogging for a minute sustained to jogging for 30 minutes straight now by using it!
in 5K??? Comment by reverendzor March 2013
  • I always wondered this myself, though I eventually stopped logging exercise calories burned.
  • My moment was when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in June 2010.
  • The "avid fitness person/model" had no idea what they were talking about in my opinion. I lost my first 60lbs of weight using the Elliptical for 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week (over a year) without to much change in diet. Once I joined MFP and figured out the diet part of things, I continued to use the elliptical machine…
  • Welcome to the "Mainly Warcraft" board SkyVetis! I never managed to get into any RP myself either, although I have been tempted to transfer/reroll on an RP realm due to how active I hear their communities are.
  • Lin806, No need to rush to 90. Take your time, there is tons of content in MoP no matter what your level is!
  • Malozing, I hope I have not been one of your tanks. I tend to watch my healers mana in instances and would like to think that I wait for them to drink when they need it :-) And speaking of tanks... after getting my Belf Paladin to level 90, I have stopped playing him just after gearing him through several heroics.…
  • Malozing, I have been unable to get into Pet Battles myself. I am sure I will give them another look once I run out of other things to do, but for now I have plenty on my plate to keep me entertained.
  • heya nancik81 and Nancik81! Glad to see this is not a dead group :-) So I hit level 90 this weekend (took thr week off from work so got in plenty of WoW time) and I am overwhelmed by the amount on content available that I still have not touched, let alone the hundreds of more quests that seem to have opened up once I hit…
  • I am enjoying it so far. Feels like a return to WotLK and TBC days!
  • Hello folks, I am unsure is this is still an active group or not, but figured I would give it a try. I see that listed in the group info it says "Yes, girls do play world of warcraft and yes, I am one. But mainly this group is to talk about the game and to motivate each other in the trials of losing weight", I hope it will…
  • Active WoW player here. Been playing on Eonar US since December of 2004.
  • yeah, I have had to "who is that" moment myself recently. The company I work for just recently updated their org chart pictures; the difference between old me and new me was quite the shock.
  • This site does a great job at helping as long as you are honest with yourself and what you enter into the site. I have lost 80lbs since May 2010 (started at about 295lbs) and wish I had found this site earlier.. The initial weight loss most likely would have been much easier (have lost 21lbs since starting to use this site…
  • In June 2010 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It scared me to realize that unless I made significant changes to my lifestyle, I was going to be on medication for the rest of my life (and possibly have to start taking insulin injections at some point). It forced me to make a change, and I can finally see my end goal…
