  • I log it as a continuation of the same day until I go to sleep.
  • I think it's possible for your legs to thicken a bit. I joined the fitness challenge at work and just got measured the other day (at day 45). All I've been doing is running for fitness. The weight went down along with 2 inches off my waist, but the thigh measurement went up 1inch. So maybe...
  • The problem could be your shoes, or if you're new to running, it could be just that you're not used to the pounding. I had the same problem when I first started. People kept telling me it was my shoes, even though they were the proper type fitted to my feet. But the more I ran, the less my shins hurt. Sometimes your body…
  • Actually, I did not recommend the Asics Nimbus specifically, but if they gave you pain and the Brooks Adrenaline work for you, then you need stability shoes. The Nimbus are for a neutral gait, which is why I can't really jog in them. Kayano 19, Blurr33, or GT 2000 are better for stability. Are the Adrenalines a heavy shoe?
  • I love Asics, for both everyday use and running. For once in my life, I have found a brand that I can run in right out of the box and it feels like I'm walking on a cloud. The gel is also easier on my joints. They are definitely worth trying. I have also heard that Saucony are excellent shoes as well. Like the other poster…

  • That's exactly how I'm starting to feel. I probably should try to fit in some more food during the day before the harder runs so that I'm not stuffing myself right before bed. Thank you.
  • I've been doing it regularly for the past month. I'm glad to hear that late night eating isn't a problem. I normally wouldn't do that, but with all this late-night exercise, I have to! Thanks everyone for the info. I'm relieved!
  • Yes, working on losing some more weight and preparing for my first half marathon. Usually I eat around 1400 calories a day, but I find it difficult to reach. I can usually get to 900-1000 calories before I have to stop and prepare to run. But then I have to eat even more very late at night. I'm worried this may hinder my…
