  • I am the same. I've lost 40Lb and although people are amazed at the change now I have had to buy clothes that don't hang off, I really struggle to see that much difference. HaleCry is right. Give it time to sink in and look for photo's of old. It could help. Well done all the same !!
  • ● need to change the way you shave your armpits because there is a dip ● realise you don't get kankle anymore ● spend an awful lot of time in clothes shops trying to see what's styles suit rather than just baggy ● forgetting that's your knickers should be a few sizes smaller as well !!! ● you WILL look at your face side…
  • Would this idea be of any use.. just seen it on another posting. Will leave you to it now as I'm probably the worst person to comment lol My homemade v1.0 of the chipotle burrito bowl - tons of chopped greens, corn, black beans, pinto beans, avocado, squeezed lime, fresh pico and cheesy red pepper sauce…

Can you buy vegan cheese ? X
  • Oops... just noticed the word RAW !! Just ignore that last post. Muchly not helpful there. :(
  • I'm no vegan but canned tomatoes are always a good base for sauces. You can spice them up or down and add them to any vegetabe. Harrisa is a nice hot spice to add. One pot wonders are great. Chunky vegetables can cook in the sauce. No oils required and tofu and suchlike can be added for your protein. Husband made the most…
  • My low carb favorite is coronation chicken with salad .... A good variety needed. Spring onions, radish, peppers, celery, mixed leaves, tomatoes etc Steam the chicken and use light mayo, curry powder, a nice chutney and lemon juice . Lush :)
  • I love my porridge in the mornings which is very quick and keeps me going til lunch most of the time. But my favourite is poached eggs in tomatoes. Just pop the tomatoes in a small frying pan and season. I like pepper. Let it reduce a little then make a cpl of Wells and drop the eggs in. Lid on and eggs will be done in 6…
  • Thanks all !!
  • I struggled for years ... even with MFP but my husband bought me the fitbit flex so with that and the need to fill a gap woth packing in the ciggy. .. I crosstrain (elliptical ) almost every day. Nothing major and not fast. Just enough to make me sweat :) with some good music. Just a couple of changes to my routine and…
  • You guys are making me hungry lol ;)
  • Many moons ago .... Went to my doctor for contraception and he said "you have sex at your size " Excuse me but ... I called him a wanker a walked out. Cried all the way home then changed my doctor some weeks later.
  • Oooh... Breakfast: porridge with water as the milk makes it too rich. Lunch: I'm loving heinz cuppa soup that's Thai chicken. Quite spicy and a lovely flavour accompanied by 3 sesame ryvita. Dinner: hubby made us cajun chicken with a mega mixed salad. Radish, celery, tomato, cucumber, mixed leaf salad, red and orange…
  • As exercise was the missing link for me, I walked almost everyday but nothing happened really. Then my husband persuaded me to get on the crosstrainer. I do a minimum of 20 minutes a day and it worked. I need to break into a bit of a sweat to burn my fat. And what is half hour out of your day. It's half hour less on Hayday…

  • hi Jamie, You've had a really good start to your Goal, so enjoy your journey. Cycling is very good therapy I hear. I stationary cycle because I fall off my regular Road bike :) Keep going!!
  • Strange as it seems... I've not had that feeling that I'm dieting. MFP helps me to acknowledge what I eat every day and has encouraged healthy eating. I now know the calories I should take in.. Which in turn makes me realise the vast sized portions I ate. My dinner plate mirrored my husbands and he is on his feet for 12…
  • I can gain up to 6Lbs in weight without trying. This is mainly due to water retention... So this can vary to the size you are. If I drive a long distance POW! Water on me kankles lol Don't fret about it and just continue as you have been. I would keep an eye on the granola thing. This can vary but generally contains an…
  • Good luck with it all and enjoy the changes :)
  • I'm not technically minded... But sure mine is open :D
  • Not a fan of fake books but she holds them well. Not a fan of her muscles but then I'm not a fan of my fat. Each to their own. Who are we to judge when she is sooo healthy. Well done to her for the discipline and determination in what she has achieved. I would love some of that!! :)
  • Hi TJ. Goodluck with your weightloss. Regarding your budget. I did my weekly shop yesterday and the cost was not much different to what we normally spend. Try making up a batch of something and then freezing into weighed portions. I'm not overweight totally because I eat unhealthily. Mostly because I never had portion…
  • My husband has always looked at my dinner plate... At a time of watching my weight... And says 'thats not very substantial'. And when I come home and HE has cooked the dinner I see massive portions and don't want to hurt his feelings by saying that it's too much mash potato or too many sausages. I've been doing so well the…
  • It's working !! 2Lb loss this week. Thread total = 738.3
  • My office has around 16 staff but more than half are young lads who don't have money to waste on food... Or they are just stingy lol I'm the main culprit as I love cooking. Flapjacks are my speciality but as I am a savoury person and know how many blocks of butter go in them... I refrain from munching down. Now if someone…
