  • Same thing happen to me. I did the 1st workout on a Thursday and could hardly walk from squats for days. I wasn't able to lift again until Tuesday. It was very frustrating. Listen to your body and rest when you need to. I'm at the end of Stage 1 and can now do the work out 3x a week with a little bit of cardo thrown in…
  • When I had to renew my license I was 5 month pregnant with my second. So I put down the weight I wanted to be after having him. Since then I have had another kid and I'm currently 2 pounds below the weight stated on my license.
  • I'm also doing NROLFW. I'm 5'2'' and 117 lbs when starting. During the first 4 weeks I only lost 1 lb and 0.25 inches tummy measured at the belly button. However, I could see a nice difference in the arms, back, and legs. Everything looked more toned even though on paper there wasn't much change. It was very frustrating…
  • I HATE the treadmill. I lucky to have a treadmill at home however, so I set up my laptop and watch tv while doing it. There are certain shows that I'm only allowed (self imposed rule) while on the treadmill. That gets me motivated to get on it and stay on it!
  • I go to a place near me that makes custom swimwear, but they also carry some non-custom ones too. I got two suits from there from Sunset Swimwear. I love the way they fit and they really hold up over time. I also love that store because they look at your body type and pick bathing suits to make you look good. I paid around…
  • Hey thought I would stop in and say hello! I'm a 35 year old (I really don't feel that old) SAHM of 3 kids. I'm currently on workout 3A (did that today). Excited to see some muscles popping up that I forgot was there. Just the other night I was looking at the back of my leg at a bug bit and was worried because it was hard…
  • THANK YOU so much!!! With so much information out there it is hard to figure what advise to follow and what is non-sense. I have been doing well with hitting my protein levels, but I have it set at 83 gram, but I go over most days. I need to look better at the other levels too. So much to take into account it gets…
  • Thank you so much for answering mine and other's questions, that is so sweet of you!!
  • I agree! For example the other day I ate a muffin from a named store, it was listed in the database as grams. I was at the mall I have no clue how many grams is in a muffin. I like to look up the value of food before I actual eat it. I found the it eventual, but it took a little bit of work. Also, I don't understand why…
  • Congrats! I really needed to see this today. I also recently cut back on cardio to try heavy lifting. Since I started I have only seen the scale go down 1/2 pound. Can I ask how you are eating? Did you keep you calories the same as when you were doing mostly cardio or did you up your calories? I'm so confused about how…
  • I think it is awesome for kids to be involved. However I stopped talking about calories in front of my kids. We talk about if the food is healthy or non-healthy. I don't want my kids to be obsessed with calories and at the ages of 4 and 7 they shouldn't be. Also there are some foods high in calories, but good for you…
  • What a wonderful and heart warming gesture! I too lost my father to a heart attack, my heart goes out to you!!!
  • This thread gives me hope!! Maybe someday I will have my flat tummy back!
  • Also those of you who said I can add you as a friend I think I will.....as soon as I figure out how to!!
  • Thank you so much for all the replies. I never excepted that! Some background.....I admit I am very lucky. But I was no where near healthy or fit. In the morning I would grab a Diet Coke and a chocolate covered granola bar for breakfast and not eat again until 3:00 pm. I joined MFP to make me accountable. I set a rule for…
