  • Perhaps both of these are issues. I know the strap is saturated fine, but I will play around with placement and double check the battery cover. Thanks for these problem solving ideas!
  • also, in regards to detoxifying your body through hot/Bikram, you do, but it's not so much with the heat (as that allows you to become looser and not so restricted) but in the actual poses targeting specific areas on your body.
  • Bikram is totally different than hot yoga. Like one of the posters said, Bikram is a set set of 26 poses. The temp has to be 105F exactly. Hot yoga can be any series of poses; and the temp can vary from 96-105F. Both are challenging. The first time you go, it will be a mind game, so keep that in mind. Your main goal/focus…
  • I have had both. I forget which Polar I have (it's the one that everyone here recommends maybe PT4? I dunno know the name, sorry, but it's EVERYONE'S favorite here!) and I also had the FitBit one. Since joining a gym and becoming more consistent about working out, I've found that my Polar is really where it's at for me. It…
  • I'm in, but have no idea how to play. Any help would be fab! :-)
  • My struggle/want to lose weight has to do with my desire to want to do so for me. My boyfriend is nothing but amazingly supportive on my quest to lose the weight that I want/need to. He'd love me if I weight 100 lbs or 600 lbs. You need to make a life change for YOU, not anyone else.
  • What the poster above me said. It's too hard to calculate (especially chili/stews) until I portion them out into containers and weigh each one to know exactly how much of it is in the container.
  • I was a bikram junkie, but like others, it is simply too expensive for me to continue every month. :-( That being said, when I was religious about logging food and practicing about 3-4 times a week, I slimmed down and toned up. Bikram (and walking my dogs) was the only form of exercise I was doing at the time and I lost…
  • Do what I do--Make your own sides so you know what is EXACTLY in them and you can prelog. While my mom and sister do a lot of the cooking/baking too, I have to make my own sides so they're a "lighter" version of what I'd love to eat, and I also know exactly how much of what is in that dish. Also, if you can, get in a…
  • Thanks to all! :-) Short, sweet and to the point! Excellent!
  • lol, that's it?! :-) Well. That was easy! Thanks for your help!
  • I'm sorry for being blunt, but if you're in a relationship, and they are negatively talking about you and your body now, GET OUT now. You don't need that. You're busting your *kitten* (literally) to do something for yourself that YOU feel good about, and she's degrading you comparing you to her mom? You need a sweet girl…
  • I need some help too as far as being accountable. I just joined a gym, and need to get there at least 3 time a week for 3 months in order to earn my enrollment fee back. Everyone on this thread feel free to add me as a friend, and let's get in this together! :-)
  • Not gonna lie. I'm a little sore. Especially in my arms. WHOOO No pain, no gain, right? lol
  • Just finished Day 3. YAY! :-D
  • I use the low sodium sara lee low sodium chicken breast...you also could bake your on your own
  • Do what I do. Prepack your lunches for the week on Sunday. I'm so not a morning person. I know you're eating clean, but this is what I do, so feel free to modify it to meet your needs. Go to the Target (or wherever) and buy yourself those compartment Ziplock food containers--one large square, and two smaller rectangles. I…
  • I'm in too. I just started on June 1st, and have been going. Not sure about the "rest" days, but hopefully I'll figure it out! Keep it up friends!
  • I just got my fitbit one, and am having a hard time for the calories burned to sync up with MFP. Anyone have any recommendations on how to do this? Back to the OP---I got it, and I love it. It provides a great visual motivation for me, and makes me think twice about the elevator vs. stairs as well as getting some extra…
  • I'm not sure if this has been covered or not, but eating clean, means just that. No preservatives or additives. Many of the "clean" recipes I've seen on this thread are not clean. My go to for crock pot recipes that are clean is www.skinnyms.com if you scroll down and to the right, there's a "slow cooker" section in the…
  • I'm so awful...I haven't even started day 1 :-( I'm scared.
  • Hi there, I'm a 34 year old teacher who is lacking motivation! :-( This is my first ever attempt with the 30 DS. Hopefully all will go well!
  • Count me in! I have the DVD, but have yet to start (or even open) it!
  • Thanks!!!
  • thanks to all for your opinions :-)
  • Oh yes...I should have mentioned, I'm currently working with a PT and she approves what I can/can't do.
  • I don't own it, or know what it's about. How hard is it?
  • PS--this is what I do for lunch: I went to target (or wherever you want) and bought the ziplock containers that come two or three in a pack with three little compartments--one big enough for a sandwich, one that has a 1/2 c and one that holds a 1/3 c. I preassemble (no, they don't get soggy in my opinion) my sandwiches on…
  • I'm in the same boat as you. I was in a car accident, and was out of work for 4 months due to a concussion. I couldn't do anything, and I resorted into eating processed and fast foods again (I was clean eating before all of this) as I literally couldn't stand up for longer than 2-3 minutes. Before the accident, I was down…
