Perhaps both of these are issues. I know the strap is saturated fine, but I will play around with placement and double check the battery cover. Thanks for these problem solving ideas!

also, in regards to detoxifying your body through hot/Bikram, you do, but it's not so much with the heat (as that allows you to become looser and not so restricted) but in the actual poses targeting specific areas on your body.

Bikram is totally different than hot yoga. Like one of the posters said, Bikram is a set set of 26 poses. The temp has to be 105F exactly. My struggle/want to lose weight has to do with my desire to want to do so for me. My boyfriend is nothing but amazingly supportive on my quest to lose the weight that I want/need to. He'd love me if I weight 100 lbs or 600 lbs. You need to make a life change for YOU, not anyone else.

What the poster above me said. It's too hard to calculate (especially chili/stews) until I portion them out into containers and weigh each one to know exactly how much of it is in the container.
