Beans, lentils, split peas, etc.

The original poster intended this post "for anyone trying to avoid meat." Not for people who want to shove as much cow down their mouth hole as possible.

Similar thing happened to me. My friends list always gets smaller or people disappear. Adding you...

Great attitude - if you fall you just keep getting up. I am restarting again myself! Added you.

Hopefully this does not start a battle, but the original leader of the bodyrock workouts does ZWOWs now. http://www.youtube.com/ZuzkaLight Short, high intensity workouts -- she sometimes uses dumbbells and the like but very minimal equipment.

Damn good job! Looking great and I am sure feeling even better.

Sounds like a cool idea! I get bored easily on the treadmill or elliptical as well so I will give it a try. Thanks!!

Under Armour. Their mesh undies are the best; I actually wear they boyshorts in a larger size as work out shorts. Not too pricey esp if you can get on sale. Try Sports Authority or an outlet if you have one near you.

I have such a scale. I know it is not entirely accurate but I like that it gives me a ballpark idea when used correctly. The scale does send a mild electric current through the body. The time it takes to pass through the tissues of the body are dependent upon their composition. You can read up on bioelectrical impedance…

There have been men attracted to me at every weight/size I have been. Different men find different things attractive and each man finds a range of things attractive.

YES! I got in the habit of this, unfortunately, and it was so bad that sometimes I could not watch a movie or program unless I had something to eat or munch on. It was just a compulsion. I would go through a bag of popcorn so quickly and had not even noticed that I ate it so it was not satisfying. Mindful eating is…

Try Curve ID from Levi's.

The LAWS of Thermodynamics are laws, not theories. They apply to the Universe. The Universe is everything, including our bodies. And before you ask, yes, I have done years of research in this field, but non scientists can understand this basic fact just as well as Ph.D. researchers.

Hi Gerald. Also, congratulations on attaining a goal weight, eating healthier, and exercising. You have made the lifestyle changes that are so important in getting healthy. I think I understand what you are saying. You had a goal weight in mind and now that you have reached it you are not as motivated to exercise as…

You are not alone!
-
Completely agree.

What are you currently doing for exercise?

This happens a lot and not just with sodium. I know that when I envision the calorie/nutrient content of a prepared food I am often way off from what is reported. This is why I stick to making almost everything homemade. I bet you could make a chicken soup that tastes much better, Kiki!

Wow you look great! Way to go!!

Vote with your pocketbook. Buy real, whole foods and the "food industry" will respond.

Congratulations! You put a lot of hard work into achieving your weight loss so it is nice to see you are enjoying some of the benefits. Well done!

Is it a juice fast?

I like the Kirkland green tea from Costco, it has a really pleasant flavor. It is a matcha blend and the manufacturer is actually ITO EN which you can find at Asian markets also.

I do not label myself a vegan or vegetarian but I eat a plant-based diet. A typical day of meals for me consists of whole-grain cereal (I have been eating Ezekiel cereal as of late, but wheat berries and oatmeal are also staples) with unsweetened almond milk and fruit. For lunch and dinner I will often have a soup or curry…

I wonder where this idea of overloading on protein comes from.

My breakfast is around 260-300 calories. i aim for under 1400 per day but you could do similar.

What an improvement! Well done, I can see you worked hard and doesn't it feel nice to be reaping the benefits? Here's to the next 10 weeks being as fulfilling as this first!
-
You will get there! The only thing is to keep building up your endurance and strength. It hurts at first but keep in mind that you are doing it because you do not want to get so out of breath and heart pumping when you are running. I am still working on the same myself but even after a few weeks I am in so much better…

Yes, of course I do! I have had false starts many times in the past, where I am good for a month or two and then fall back in to bad habits. I feel strongly that I am ready to do it for good now, though, and my friends here are a huge help. Good on you for taking the step to return and stay on track. You can do it!!

Well said! Congratulations on making it to a good place. Sounds like it has been satisfying in more ways than one. Thanks for the words of wisdom. :)
