I've started to drink green tea more often because of the health benefits & (so I hear) weight loss benefits. Any recommendations on which brand/type to buy?

  • I drink a lot of green tea, not only because it's FANTASTIC for your health, but because it fills me up! I drink Salada Green Tea, and I put a packet of truvia in it which is a natural sweetener with 0 calories.
  • I really like Arizona brand, bottled sweet tea or the bags, I'd definitely recommend them. I also just recently tried the pomegranate flavor of the Bigelow brand and it's pretty awesome! And good for you, green tea and water are my go-to drinks! (:

I drink bigelow green tea with Lemon!
  • I use the loose leaf style. I find it is less bitter and more soothing to drink. You can find some at Teavana, but they usually sell their products at a very high price. Fortunately I have a local tea shop near by where I can find it a lot cheaper. If you want it in mass quantity, I get a box at BJs for +/- $6 and it comes with around 200 tea bags, which I usually double up. The best bottled brand of tea as far as real brewed tea goes is Honest Tea, in my opinion.
  • I LOVE Good Earth. I think they have a couple of green tea varieties, but their jasmine green tea is a fave of mine.

I can't stand green tea. Why is it so much healthier than black tea?

I like the Kirkland green tea from Costco, it has a really pleasant flavor. It is a matcha blend and the manufacturer is actually ITO EN which you can find at Asian markets also.
  • Lipton green tea...best brand
