  • Welcome, Misty. Don't worry, you are not alone. Millions of folks are in the same boat as you. Personally, I like a lot of the "lite" progresso soups for a quck meal. I also eat lots of salad with low cal dressing. Go for chicken breast, and other lean meats. Stay away from processed foods and fast foods. Fiber is also…
  • Don't worry about this so much. Often times the weight will fluctuate. It is part of the losing process. The body is trying to balance itself. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week, and even sometimes after a week of good eating you may gain a bit. If you keep trying it should go down again. It's all part of the…
  • My november challenge - lose at least 1 lb per week! 1200 calories is not much! I find myself having to plan for extra exercise so I can eat even healthy snacks. Biggest challenge for me will be to say no to candy and cookies.
  • Did you stay within your nutritional goals - yes, but barely! Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I was proud of? I said no to candy and cookies (personal downfall) and kept my calorie count in line. Today - I would like to keep my exericse goals and not "pig out" after yoga!
  • Wow, what a wonderful, inspiring and heartfelt story! Congratulations on your success and hope that you have many more. You are amazing. way to go!
  • Hi there: I'm relatively new to MFP, have lost a little weight (6 lb so far), and would like to lose about 15 more. I'm 54 yo, married, and work full time. I find it easier to keep to my calorie count at work, vs. at home on the weekend. I like to exercise, lots of walking, and my goals today are: 1/2 hour of fitness…
  • I agree that diet soda made with Equal may not be the best but regular Coke has high fructose corn syrup which is a real weight magnet!
  • I think it m atters how fast you are walking. If you are walking to work and it takes 10 min, then walking home for lunch and back, (20 min?), and then back home, that's 40 minutes of activitiy. Additionally, you have 30 min on the stationary bike, but how fast or slow are you going on that? Enough to put up a sweat?
  • You might try canadian bacon, much lower in calories and fat!
  • Zumba is really fun. It has an intense energy and you sweat quite a bit in the beginning. i"m not sure how much weight I'm losing by doing it as I'm really active anyway, but it is by far the most enjoyable exercise. Good luck!
  • You can give the yolks to your dog or a friend's dog, but too many may make them choloesterol heavy so watch it. I've used egg yolks in "24 hour fruit salad" recipe that has fresh and canned fruit (mostly pinepple, apples, oranges, etc.), and you make a nice dressing with egg yolks. It's a really good salad that might be…
  • Some of my favorite "fast" light foods for dinner or lunch are the "lite" progresso soups (Weight Watcher's approved) and a tossed salad with one of the zero fat/low calorie dressings. If you buy the "bagged" salad or spinach, and add tomatoes, cukes, peppers, etc. you could make a pretty good meal. Depending on your…
