Due July 9 with my second. I'm going on adding spree!

Hello! I am 14 weeks 1 day - due July 9th. My daughter was July 3rd. Guess we had our own little Rocktober. I have had terrible morning sickness this time around. Every time I eat, I feel ill - junk food or good food. I think I'm going to start exercising later this week hopefully. I used to run and do boot camp. Not since…

Hello! Oddly enough, I fit in my clothes better at 14 weeks than I did at 5 weeks. I'm starting to feel a little better and hope to start doing the elliptical and going back to my trainer.

I'm at week 14 and have lost 8-9 pounds due severe morning sickness and indigestion. I'm lucky if I get 1200 calories a day. My first pregnancy I was probably up by 6-9 pounds by now. Oddly enough, I ft into my regular clothes better at week 14 than I did at week 5!

Right now I just take a scoop of Designer Whey Vanilla and shake it up with Zico Chocolate Coconut Water and ice. It's quick and great before or after a workout.

I am obsessed with my collarbone. Mine is starting to stick out and I'm getting more definition in the chest region and I cannot stop admiring it in the mirror. The rest of me has a long way to go, but hey...we got collarbone!

I went to the gym today when I did not want to go. That was pretty big for me.

Do you have issues with it losing your HR?

I know it's been hard for me to get my calories in some days. Like yesterday - I had cereal and coffee for breakfast - then I got busy at work. I snacked on some nuts, had a Chobani yogurt and that was it until I got home. I burned 400+ calories between a 3 mile run and walking the dogs. I had a small cheese burger, some…

If you decide to do it, do it right. If you eat 1200 calories, you most likely are too low. Sure, that works for awhile because before you started tracking - you might have been eating more than you realize. Here is what I did. I figured out my BMR and TDEE here - http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ My BMR is around…

Thank you for sharing your story. I read it to my husband, also on MFP, trying to love ourselves too. I (and my husband) think you are beautiful. Good luck with your recovery and please come here if you need help. That's why we are all here - to not go through this alone.

I upped my calories at the beginning of March and waited until today to hit the scale. I will admit that I was disappointed by my whopping 1.4 weight loss. I guess I heard these success stories where people ate more and lost 7 pounds. I know that i was in severe deficit for a few months and it might take awhile for my body…

The pants I'm wearing today.....I can take off without unbuttoning. While at the gym working out with my trainer on Monday, I owned 3 teenage girls. We were doing the ropes on a truck tire and it was killer. I was holding my own. The teens got on to do the same exercise and all I heard was, "Oh my God...how did she DO…

I agree with people saying to see a professional. It could be deeper than just eating sweets - like a obsessive compulsion. You think you need to restrict yourself which makes you want them more and you cannot get the idea of eating a full cake out of your head. A counselor or psychologist can give you tools to cope and…

Usually if I am not hydrated enough or didn't eat enough before or after my run. Try drinking a glass of chocolate milk to replenish your sugars and fluids.

Did you get fitted for the right shoes? The correct shoes can make all the difference. When I started running about 6 years ago (I'm 40 now) I did it all wrong. I would go from a walk to a full on sprint and peter out 30 seconds later. I ended up giving up thinking I was too fat, too asthmatic, too anything to run. Then…

I run to a live version from 1993 that leads into Where the Streets Have No Name. One Tree Hill - U2 We run like a river Run to the sea We run like a river to the sea And when it's raining Raining hard That's when the rain will Break my heart

I'm starting to think I wear the wrong size. I guess it depends on shape and how muscular you are. I'm 5'3" At my heaviest non-pregancy weight I was 194 and wearing size 16-18 depending on make and model. Right now, I am 156-ish (I say that because I have not weighed myself in 2 weeks). My size 14's are getting too loose…

I'll admit that there are times I wish I could rock boots and skinny jeans and wear a size 4. It's just not in my cards with my body type. I've been a size 6 and I've been a size 18. I was sickly at 6 - granted the way I got there wasn't very healthy. I don't know where I'll eventually end up. Right now I wear anything…

You should try to add some weight training in if you can. It will help your runs and help you to lose weight. Also, when you do your runs, try fartleks. What is that? Run at a little under your normal pace, then go as hard as you can (safely since you are a minimal runner) for like a 30 seconds or a minute. Or if you are…

40 and I'm 5'3". I've battled the bulge since puberty. My highest weight that I know of was when I went to have my daughter: 204 CW: 156 GW: 135-140 I tried doing between 1200-1320 calories based on the 1lb a week via MFP. Nothing moved. So, I calculated RMR and TDEE to come up with 1750. I'm not consistent. Yesterday, I…

I mentioned it to my PT one day so our next time, she broke them out. I loved it. She said that scared her a bit. It was the one exercise where I really felt it the next day. It hurt to cough or laugh. Or breathe.

Last year I was training for my first marathon. We had a 20 miler about 3 weeks before marathon Monday and it SUCKED. I wanted to cry through the whole thing. It was lonely, I was in pain - it was awful. But I had a great marathon come that day. It always boils down to race day. All you can do is wear the right shoes and…

Do you ice bath after long runs? I'd suggest that for recovery if you are doing your 10. I don't think you need to do the full 13. I ran a marathon after only running 20 miles a few weeks leading up to it. In fact, I would run the 10, ice bath, rest, maybe 4 miles and some cross training, Friday 2.5, 5K Saturday, 8 Sunday,…

I got the Insanity DVDs for about half off the Beach Body price from Amazon. They came in the original package and I think it was fulfilled by Amazon. I'd look there first.

What are you doing and how long have you been doing it? Like - what are you eating? What is your exercise like? Is it that you give in to temptation and it's a slippery slope? Do you hate the exercise you are trying? Have you forced yourself to celery or salads? If you want you can PM me. I'm no expert as I struggle…

"The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start." I saw that quote while training for a marathon.

I've been trying to lose the last 15-20 for a few years now. For over a month, I've tried the eat only my allotted calories (1320). Maybe if I had a high calorie burn, I'd eat some back. And I lost nothing. Or I'd lose, then gain. Or stay the same. I'm trying a different approach and upping my intake to at least 1500-1600…

I just went here to find out my Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Mine was 2225. So to lose weight, I should eat no more than 1725. I eat maybe 1200-1500. http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html There have been a few posts like this lately and I'm inclined to give it a go. Just remembering that I need to…

I think what stilted some of my weight loss was the fact that I ran over 15 races in a years time. From December through April, I was training for the Boston Marathon - so I know that kind of training can stunt weight loss. After the marathon, I still ate like I was training for a 26 mile race. But I think I have a better…
