  • I added you Kara! For everyone else, Send me a message on FB when adding me, so I know to add you into the group!! Thanks! :)
  • I'm starting Alpha week 4 today and I haven't lost a single pound! But I notice my body changing and that's what counts. It has taken me years to stop worrying about what the scale says and I've never felt better. I only weight myself as part of staturday, otherwise I wouldn't even own a scale! I also noticed that my…
  • I work night shift, so i always do midnight to midnight. It helps me to track that way, so every 24 hrs I'm consuming the correct amount of calories. If i tried to do it based on when I sleep, I'd eat 2500 cals one day and like 400 the next lol Damn night shift! :)
  • Tomorrow will be Week 1 Day 3-total body circuit for me. I'm excited, I love this program. Cant wait for staturday
  • My BMR is about 1530 and TDEE is about 2113. I eat 1690 now and have finally started seeing some weight loss :)
  • Does anyone have a good site to calculate TDEE? I have used multiple different sites and they usually give me the same number give or take 50-100 calories or so. I had been eating anywhere from 1200-1600 cals a day for months. I found that I never lost weight and I was always hungry. I recently started eating 1800 which is…
  • I'm on day 3 level 2 (so day 13). Oh man! Level 2 is brutal! I've never cursed at the TV so much. But my arms were super sore Day 2, so it was difficult to get through. We'll see how Day 3 goes today. I have noticed slight changes in the way my pants fit on my thighs. I rechecked my measurements and compared to day 1 and I…
  • I'm with you on this!!! Like on thanksgiving, I got a nice workout in (1 hour of kickboxing) in the AM... luckily my gym was still teaching the class that morning and then I cook and enjoy the food and cocktails. It's one day. The next day, get up and resume your regular healthy lifestyle :) Happy holidays everyone!
  • Good for you! This is amazing and you should be so proud of yourself! I am a nurse who works with kidney failure patients needing transplants due to uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes, so hearing this makes me so happy for you and just really reiterates and proves that there are medical benefits to eating right and…
  • Been doing the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels... On day 1, I took measurements and today is only day 9 and I already lost 3/4 of an inch to each thigh and an inch from waist :) :) So very motivating to keep on shredding :)
  • Unreal! You look absolutely amazing and should be so proud of your acomplishment! My question is, what type of exercise did you do to get such toned arms and a flat stomach?? Those are my two problem areas!!
  • Yes!!! I'm 5'7" and 162lbs. My GW is 140-145, with an UGW 135. Add me !!
  • Only 2lbs heavier? you're lucky... I gain at least 5! Thats usually how I determine that my TOM is coming haha. Wait a couple days after it's over and you'll be back to where you should be :)
  • I've been going to a turbo kickboxing class for 7 months now and I still mess up a routine. Who cares?! As long as you're moving, you're working out. Ya just gotta laugh at yourself... chances are you'll see other people mess up a bunch too. I know when I go to a new class, it's nerveracking, but ya know what... I make…
  • Scales in MD offices, hospitals, gyms, and even at weight watchers are never accurate. So many people are stepping on and off those things on a daily basis, they are rarely calibrated. They always add an extra 4-5 lbs on me. I trust my home scale the most. But people are right, as long as your weight is going in the right…
  • Thanks for your input. I do not have PCOS. I've had ultrasound and many blood tests with all normal results. Have seen my PCP and GYN. I haven't felt it the last couple months, so I'm hoping it's shrinking. My main concern is my weight gain. My doctors claim it's not related to the cyst. They said I could just be having…
  • Very excited for this challenge! We can do this :) Week 1, Nov 26 - 162 lbs Week 2, Dec 3 - Week 3, Dec 10 - Week 4, Dec 17 - Week 5, Dec 24 - Final weigh in, Dec 31 - My overall goal is 135-140. Hoping the challenge will be a great jumpstart to my goal.
  • Pairs sound like a great motivating strategy rather than a big group where people can get lost amongst everyone else. We should try to pair up with others that are of similar height and weight, do you agree? I'm 5'7" and 162 lbs. Would like to be 155lb by Dec 31st. But this is a 9lb challenge, so I hope I can do that :)…
  • I'm down Maiseyy! Add me and whoever else is in on this! I can't wait. Challenges are such a great motivator! LET'S DO THIS!
  • Good luck to you! We are all here for the support and encouragement of others :) I, too, would love to help motivate and support all of you :) We can do this! Feel free to add me as well!
  • Down 19lbs already! Great job! Once you start logging daily for about a week it doesn't become such a chore anymore. We're all in the same boat and could all use the motivation and encouragement of others who know what it's like to have to constantly watch what we put in our mouths. You've come to the right place to find…
  • I haven't deleted my account, as much as I may have wanted to, but I have reset my weight ticker so it wouldn't show a gain :( I am doing this right this time and will not reset the ticker! Can definitely use the motivation as many of us can, so anyone can feel free to friend me on here and we can all do this together :)…
  • From Boston living in SUNNY SAN DIEGO :) :) :) Any other SD people in here ?
  • Personally... When I feel that people are staring at me at the gym, it motivates me to work out that much harder. Ya know the saying "Dance like no ones watching..." well same concept. Just throw on your ipod and do your thing :)
  • There is one 7 blocks from my apt, so I am literally there every other day... I love their Almond Milk, Greek yogurt, cheeses and Hummus. I like some of their cereals and pita chips. I hear they have an amazing frozen food section too, but I rarely eat it. Bread is fresh and delicious, but I cut most of it out of my diet…
  • I'm new too, about 2 weeks and have logged in every single day, multiple times a day :) We could all use the motivation and support! You all can feel free to add me!
  • I agree with this. I also find that exercising helps the bloat! yay
  • Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to this as well and have been on for about 2 weeks and unfortunately, no results yet  Feel free to add me as we could all use some support and motivation from each other!
  • I also lost about 35lbs then gained about 10lbs back recently. I joined MFP but never really got into it until last week when I saw my best friend for the first time in 6 months and saw the success she had on here. So here I am hoping to create my own success. I want to lose about 25-30lbs. Everyone can feel free to add me…
  • Feel free to add me as well Tabitha! And anyone else in here. We are all in the same boat and we could all use motivation especially in our weak moments  Wish you best of luck in your health and fitness goals!
