My game plan for this is as follows: wear a baseball cap and turn your favorite music up!! It can be super intimidating lifting among a bunch of macho bros, but the more you look around, the more you'll realize that most men have no idea what they are doing! ;) (And the ones who are serious are probably too concerned with…

In college I used to put books or other heavy items in a bag or backpack and use it as weights. It was a cheap and easy way to do weighted squats/lunges, bicep curls, delt lifts, etc etc.

I've been wondering a lot about this as well. From what I've gathered via Google searches and bodybuilding.com, it does seem that fasted cardio has some benefits if one is already pretty muscular and trying to lean out a bit. However, with more than 5% or so of body fat to lose, it seems any sort of calorie deficit will…

Thanks for all the replies! Guess I'll just have to figure out what works best for me.

Hello! I'm 5'2" and about 5 years ago I was at 210-215. Since, I've lost about 75 lbs. I think I've managed to keep it off for so long because it was a long, slow process. In the beginning I was dead set on getting to my goal weight, but once I lost the first 40, life happened. I would lose 20, gain 10, maintain for…

Thank you!!

Haha you are too sweet! I'm sure you will look just as great if not better!

I know. Very scary to be approaching. I'm hoping that because I've lost all my weight SO slow, with lots of breaks of maintenance in between it won't be so hard for me. Guess we will see! I'd rather be there having a hard time staying there than never get there at all!

Thanks! I think it was from Target! (Shhhhhh.... no one has to know haha) But it's probably 5 or more years old. Haha.

Honestly I think it was just moderating and cutting down the amount of food I ate. In high school (when I was bigger) I had a huge problem with binge eating, and I wasn't very active at all. I also ate out at restaurants ALL the time without even caring about the amount of calories I put into my body. Now, I usually count…

hi! i'm brittany :) 20 year old college student! i've lost about 70 lbs since high school (over a span of 2.5 years,) and i've got about 15 left to lose. (needless to say, i'm really struggling with those last 15!!) would love some encouragement!

just had a friend i hadn't seen in a couple months come up to me and scream" omg! you skinny *****!" hahahhahah i've also gotten "where's the rest of you" and those sorts of comments. also a coworker: "have you lost weight" of course i answered yes then a few weeks later he said "i'm worried about you" i laughed and said…

how does everyone feel about the flex wristband that's coming out? i'm really considering pre-ordering. i've never had a fitbit. (i use a regular heart rate monitor when i go to the gym with an annoying chest strap) i am paranoid that i would lose the "one" or the "ultra" or whichever else that is clip on. i can lose…

i go with garden of eatin blue corn chips if i HAVE to have chips! otherwise i try to eat salsa with other (maybe strange) things like neutral tasting veggies (think celery or cucumbers) as far as chips, i LOVE the special k "cracker chips." so yummy and you can eat 27 for 110 cals or something like that! def curbs my…

i do it every day, but only let it affect me once a week. like if one friday i weigh more than the last friday, i consider it gaining weight. but from day to day i know i fluctuate and it's often just water weight.

I actually started at 215 >.< So I've lost about 60 lbs over 2 years. I've found that the more I lose the harder it is to lose which is only natural. I guess the only thing to do is keep on keeping on. Lol. Since July I've lost about 10 lbs so its obviously slowing down a lot. Anyone in the same boat?

Oh gosh, girl, I am there with you. My boyfriend is a human garbage can! All he eats is pizza and pizza rolls, ice cream, candy, and the worst: he constantly keeps rolls of cookie dough in the fridge because he likes to eat them raw!!!! And he's not fat at all! He's in great shape and he doesn't even work out. And we live…

I think it depends on how much you're eating. I try to never ever ever net under 1200 calories. Right now I have my calorie allotment at 1200/day but I eat back my exercise calories (so I eat around 1500-1600.) If you're eating 1900ish, as long as you're not burning more than 700 calories you're in the clear. This is just…

I'd love to join (: I lose weight sooooo slowly and I don't have a whole lot to lose, but I'm in anyway. Starting weight = 156-158.... goal weight = 140! (136-8 would be INSANELY AWESOME, but I'll say around 140ish so I'm not too bummed when I'm not 136  )

Hahaha awww shucks. Thanks >.<

Mom? Is that you? Hahahaha you sound just like my mother!

That was my senior prom dress. I remember being upset that I had to get it from Macy's but then I found that gem and loved it!
