So I went over my sodium level today and I know that will most likely cause me to gain some water weight. Aside from this I also fell today in my kitchen while putting away our groceries. I now have a knee that is a half a size bigger on one side with a nice bruise. What is the best way to flush out water retention?........add more water?????

More water, and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. The Potassium balances out the salt.0

Simple answer:
"Bloating" from sodium intake is just an electrolyte imbalance. Your body is trying to balance your electrolytes by holding onto more water. Long story shorter: Drink more water and eat an equal amount of potassium and you will more than likely not even have to worry about sodium water retention again.0
