  • I love this so much. Blast some music and it sounds like fun!
  • Bump! The second my PT says I can do this, I'm going to start Strong Curves! Big vacation next summer that will be all bikini, all the time. Will have to take before pics soon. (Blech.)
  • I'm hoping to start in December (or the second my PT gives me the green light) it'll be the first weightlifting program I've ever tried. Hoping to get ready to rock a bikini in June!
  • You mean, just drinking green tea? I drink a cup or two at work every day. No idea if it helps, but it doesn't hurt and I like the taste.
  • i'll have a small handful of nuts (or a spoonful of peanut butter) but usually, anything more than that clunks about unpleasantly in my stomach and can give me heartburn, more cramps, sluggish feeling, etc.
  • imma guess herbalife, judging by his sole friend. joe, everyone else has great advice.
  • do the classes! i love classes! try as many of them as possible and make a schedule involving the ones you loved.

  • keep a diary/online doc where you rant about what's making you emotional! and then ideally figure out new coping mechanisms.
  • Is your mother willing to help you develop and successfully follow a healthy lifestyle? Otherwise, do your research, come up with a healthy plan, and stick to it. You need to want to be healthy more than you want to eat all the cookies possible. Your life, your choices, your responsibility. Don't be scared by that -…
  • Make the food because cooking and baking can be fun and you seem to enjoy it! Enjoy the day because it's a wonderful day and block parties are fun! Dump the awful boyfriend because you know he's awful and you don't want to spend the rest of your life with him so why waste your time now!
  • Friendly warning - if you panic and give up when you hit a small setback, you're never going to lose the weight you want to lose and keep it off. Keep working out, keep eating well, have a healthy outlook on weight loss, and you'll be fine. If need be, use an app like Happy Scale where you can log in your weight as much as…
  • daily exercise does wonders.
  • sometimes, a cup of hot cocoa really helps. milk, cocoa powder, a bit of your choice of sweetener. if you go heavy on the cocoa, it's quite heavy and filling. helps me with cravings.
  • I love lemon, but I'd imagine cucumber and mint could be delicious! Found this article with some suggestions for delicious, infused water: http://www.buzzfeed.com/melissaharrison/fruit-infused-waters#.wceg72avN

  • I really enjoyed the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD when I first started out. Not expensive at all.
  • hydration? low protein or low iron? take a rest day at least once a week if you work out that much, make sure you're eating well, and if it continues get thee to a doctor for a blood test.
  • Unfortunately, until you translate your desires into action, nothing will change. Can you ask your family to help support you? Can you replace your snacking time with workout time? Can you ask your family to keep the junk food in one particular cabinet and just make it your personal goal to only go into that cabinet once a…
  • Hah! I just ordered 4 crop tops and am hoping to keep at least one of them... even if it's more of a "keep going" item rather than a "i can wear this now" item. Set a sane, steady goal, find good foods you love, a dietary pattern that works for you, exercises that make you WANT to exercise more, and get back up if you ever…
  • If it all started after the surgery, I agree with Joy. Go to the doctor.
  • Glad it worked out. And a big sigh that no one except for the person already working out showed up.... they clearly aren't ready yet.
  • vodka red bull... except those are apparently bad for you? so vodka tonic, or vodka cranberry. or just picklebacks :)
  • fage full fat - i eat it for breakfast every morning with 2 different kinds of fruits mixed in. delicious.
  • one day at a time! find a workout you love. i find my eating is better when i work out consistently. also - keep healthy foods around you, and pre-log your food. maybe get a pinterest account to organize meal ideas.
  • Maybe tell them you're game to have people join you for one week (or heck, even just one run), and you'd be happy to inspire them to get the ball rolling, but after that one week you'll need to go back to your normal solitary workouts as that's your time to decompress and focus on yourself. If they want a running buddy…
  • do you guys share a bank account? make the food you want to eat and if he doesn't want to eat healthier, then it's on his wallet and on his body.

  • I'm fine with flirting - not single but no harm in trying! It's when it happens in an inappropriate setting or when it starts to devolve into harassment that it's not cool.
  • i just use a whole gfoods canvas shopping bag. it ain't pretty but it gets the job done. i'd totally upgrade to a cuter bag if i found a non-bulky one that wasn't too much $. as for flip flops, perhaps just use a mesh bag?

  • There's a difference between simple and easy. You guys are both right. I don't buy junk food - if it's not near me I can't eat it. (Also, $$$!) During times where I have it around me (friend's house, workplace, etc.) I try to pre-log it and either I find way to fit it into my daily calories or I resist. If I'm really…
