  • I agree with you, my workouts have been somewhat strenuous after not working out for about a month. I've been sore around my abs and obliques and inside my arms too...More good news, I can do 12 REAL push-ups! I could be gaining muscle. I will keep working at it.
  • This is actually a pretty bad plateau for me...I have been within the same 2 lbs (up and down, up and down) for 10 straight weeks...Mainly because I have not followed plan like I should...the good news with staying at the same weight for over 2 months not following plan is that I will do very well once I'm ready for the…

  • We have tons in our garden too. My husband soaks them in something in the fridge over night but I don't like them in that vinegar tasting stuff....so i just simply slice, salt, and dip!! I use the Walmart Brand LIGHT Buttermilk Ranch...soooo good.
  • I eat 2 1/2 cup servings of Breakstone's 2%milkfat cottage cheese (small curd) EVERYDAY!! I love cottage cheese, and there are 12g protein in each 1/2 cup. Just a suggestion if you need to bump up your protein.
  • Do i have to have the online program to log the calories or can I just log the calories from the watch here in MFP activity log? Does the calories burned show up on the actual device or do you plug it into the computer and upload it?
  • Thanks for the info..I'm thinking a heart rate watch for my husband and a Body Bugg for me. Like I said he wants to monitor his heart rate during workouts and I want to measure my calorie burn all day. I will look into finding one on ebay or somewhere. Can you tell me how much the program online costs once I have the…
  • Thanks for the info guys! I will certainly try to get in touch with a nutritionist to educate myself better. More questions: I have learned about subtracting fiber for net carbs...I read that you should only do that if the item is HIGH fiber like 5g or higher...should i be subtracting ALL fiber in an item from the carbs to…
  • nsking83, you have done great losing over 20lbs so far. I too have lost lots of weight just counting calories and exercising...I'm down 50lbs. But, it's time for me to get deeper in my health and as a TRUE CARB ADDICT I have to do something about it. Especially since I am insulin resistant. Our bodies burn carbs for energy…
  • I am insulin resistant and I NEED to reduce my carb/sugar. I take in way too many carbs everyday and I'm working on that. What I would like to know is, if I eat something high in carbs is there a fiber count that will help the blood sugar spike. I understand that only certain foods cause the sugar spike. I just at this…

  • Emederos, is there a specific site or place that you reference the Glycemic Index? I would like to know where the foods that I eat are rated. Thanks
  • Yes, it was fresh in my mind..you are right. Also, I made the mistake that you pointed out about your name not being EVAN...sorry about that too!! Eric is an awesome name...I like Evan too cuz it's my middle name Laura Evan..lol Thanks again. Have a great day!
  • Thank you Evan...that was very helpful. I also found the below topic thread to be super helpful! I guess I should have searched and read a little more before I posted my question. Thanks for the help. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/99529-people-get-to-know-your-carbs
