I wholeheartedly agree with this logic. About 10 years ago, I lost 80 pounds and was in the best shape of my life. All I did was eat better and walk every day for 30 minutes. I did not worry about EXACTLY how many carbs or grams of fat or freak out about every little detail or obessess about how others were losing weight…

I think this really depends on many factors. When I was thinner, I could drop 10 lbs and be down a size. Now being heavier however, it wasn't until I hit 30 lbs that I went down a size.

I think mine started with anxiety and depression.I've always been an emotional eater but had it pretty much in check but when I fell into this funk, I just kind of gave up excercising and then diet. I struggled for about 3 years trying to pinpoint exactly what happened in my life to trigger it, then I ended up deciding to…

This same thing happened with me about 7 years ago. I had lost 80 pounds and I lived in constant fear of gaining weight. I became absolutely obsessed with dieting. I weighed myself 3 times a day and if I went over my calories I would freak out and excercise or severely cut calories the rest of the week. It is not healthy…

My failure story: 8-9 years ago I lost 80 pounds and I kept it off until 4 years ago. I had an emotional rollercoaster of a weekend and binged and I kept telling myself I would get back on track the next day....and 3 years of tomorrows came and went and all the weight came back on. It can happen to any of us, no one is…

For me it was getting engaged. I was horrified at the thought of being a chubby bride. Unfortunately I will still be a chubby bride come September but alot less chubby anyway.

Yep, in fact nearly 4 years ago after I had lost 80 pounds and kept it off 7 years I had a "slip up" one weekend and it turned into 3 years and 80 pounds gained right back. I'm 1/3 of the way back to my goal and I've already had another 3 weeks where I just fell off the wagon. It's a constant battle.

If marriage is important to you then consider leaving him. Honestly, if you stay and never work through this it is just going to eat you up inside wondering why he won't make that committment to you. Some people are perfectly fine with never marrying their mate and that's fine if it works for you. No one should judge you…

Amazing! Way to go!

I hit my goal and lost 100 pounds 9 years ago, I maintained it for 7 years and then fell off the wagon for a week, then months....I didn't gain it ALL back but pretty close..80 pounds over 2.5 years. I'm not sure there is one reason but the weekend that I "fell off the wagon" there was a situation that occurred that was…

I'm down 26 pounds since the beginning of the year. No one has noticed or said anything except my fiance who can see that my pants are baggy and knows I am fitting into clothes that I haven't worn for a while.

My goal this year is to lose 100 pounds. I am off to a really good start so far, down 17 lbs total since January 1st. I am getting married in September and I would like to lose a minimum of 50 by then. Feel free to add me =)

I completely understand your frustration. My first week I lost 5 pounds and then NOTHING for 2 weeks straight even though I was doing everything right. The first instinct is to throw in the towel, but if you do that you will never get to where you want to be. I stuck with it and this week I am down another 5. So even…

Check In: How's everyone doing so far this week??? I've done great with my eating so far, but haven't been as motivated about exercise. Part of the problem is that I am still fatigued from the flu I had last week. :ohwell: What is your weekly exercise plan? 5 days cardio -30 minutes minimum 3 days of strength training I am…
