  • Love them, she has new ones with the exercise bands on QVC, since using them for 3 weeks, my muscle weight at the doctors was up 2 lbs!!! I didn't even gain that much muscle at the gym!!!
  • Buy the Leslie Sansone walk at home dvd's, she has an awesome set available on QVC. I spent the last year going to the gym and came to a halt in my weight loss, bought her dvd's and they are the best change my body has seen! You will be amazed at how good walking is. She has real people on the dvd's that have lost over 100…
  • From experience with you only having 11lbs more to lose it is going to come off slowly. I have lost 85 and they went much faster than these last 15 are! I don't agree with eating back your calories if it is under a 500 calorie burn, you have to have a deficit in your calories of at least 500 a day to lose one pound a week.…
  • I would love that, but from past experience I hated trying to get them home! The bigger they are the harder it is to carry them, especially if she has to ride public transportation. The one time my hubby did that, he showed at work just as I was getting off to help me take them home. I was more surprised by that then…
  • I'm Irish , my father is Irish, grandparents immigrated from Ireland mannnnny years ago! Would love to visit the country.
  • 5'7 weighing 172 pounds and wear a size 10 sometimes a 12 if they are skinny jeans. I was 253 pounds a year ago and wearing a size 20-22.
  • Remember, when you lose body weight, it takes less calories to fuel your body and your body is going to try and hold on to everything! I was stuck for two months, believe it or not I started doing Jillian's Yoga Meltdown and dropped 3 pounds in one week! That is the change my body needed to kick it in the butt, also went…
  • I am really confused, this is a topic board for support of the dieters eating 1000 calories or less, or so I thought it was! So why are there so many others on here concerned with this topic?! Please go find a topic on 1200 calories and more or something! What amazes me is that the large majority of dieters that dog this…
  • Symptoms of Anorexia There are many symptoms for anorexia, some individuals may not experience all of they symptoms. The symptoms include: Body weight that is inconsistent with age, build and height (usually 15% below normal weight). Some other symptoms of anorexia are: Loss of at least 3 consecutive menstrual periods (in…
  • Stormiewhether you are sooooo right!
  • What amazes me it that most of the people who disagree with this are men! No offense, but a man does not store or calories the same way a woman does. You have more muscle this is a scientific fact, therefore it takes more calories to fuel your body. Weight Watchers, Nutrisytems and Jenny all have men on higher calories and…
  • First, what is starvation mode? I found this direct answer on netwellness.org -- A starvation diet does not mean the absence of food. It means cutting the total caloric intake to less than 50% of what the body requires. Using myself as an example, my current weight is 178 lbs. and my bmr is 1450. So, I would have to cut my…

  • Nope, don't use the bikes, I use the elliptical, the ABS elliptical, and the treadmill. The only time I burned more was in the spinning class. I am very active in the gym.
  • You can eat as low as 1000 calories a day. I am getting close to my goal and my doctor put me on it. Everyone is different so you have to try it and see if your body will accept it or reject it. The one thing the doc told me was that people will drop their calories and not take a multi vitamin. That is where some of the…
  • Hang in there, I know your body is feeling really deprived right now, this is when the brain is in the fight or flight mode of survival! Don't let it win, get some protein, dip your carrots in plain greek yogut with misses dash added as flavor. You will feel better with the protein and this will pass. Once you get past…
  • I think it is wonderful you are doing it on your own, I lost my 80 lbs so far on my own and I feel wonderful. I have a daughter in law and her family has had gastric bypass and the band. They have nothing but trouble!!! And I mean serious health problems related to these surgeries. Not one of them is healthy, and when they…
  • Yep! I'm going to be 48, it has been one year today that I started on the weight loss journey. Had four children and now have 7 grandchildren. Wanted to be around for them! Have lost 80 pds so far, wanted to lose 100 last year but didn't quit get through the holidays! Have about 30 more to go, hope to make it by April!…
  • It also depends on how much weight you have to lose and how much you weigh right now. I have found that after losing 80 lbs my calories go down as I weigh less. It takes less calories to fuel your body when you weigh less.
  • Yes, my doctor has me on 1000 and told me to use MFP but to ignore the recommendations set by it.
  • I wouldn't try Ali unless you have a diet that is higher on the fat side. You will have greasy leakage and gas!!! Not a nice side effect. And, they don't tell you but the Ali sold in the store is not prescription strength. Try zig zagging your calories and check out this calorie counter.…
  • This is what my doctor told me, he is the one that sent me to this site. I was using sparkpeople, still do for somethings. I do like mfp better for the tracking but doc told me that in order to lose weight I am to ignore the addition of calories it adds. If you are in maintenance he said it is ok to eat some back. The…
  • I am, did Atkins and was very successful, now I am using a doctor. I prefer the Keto, I am a protein person.
