I am a retired EMT/firefighter in SC. Why are you going to the fire service to become a EMT?

Hello, I am not new here, just back. We can do it together. I am 65 and just want to get under 200, for now. That is my first goal. See you here.

I want to wear my rings on my index fingers next.

Thank you for posting. It is the small things that only I notice that keep me going. NSV are good. I have a set of clothes I am going to try on tomorrow. I brought the clothes at Costco. I don't get to buy there much because I am too big for most of their clothes. I have had them for a year now. I will see tomorrow.

I fell off the wagon but now I am back. Try to record what you eat everyday. That is how I started back. I have not started exercising. Sometimes it happens, just get back on the program.

You look great! I am trying to get where you are now.

You look great!! I am glad to see the work you put in worked so well for you. Great pics.

I am sorry for you and your children. I have no advice, just a listening ear.

I love nsv's!!!

Sure should! Every firefighter, police officer, or paramedic depends on dispatcher or telecommunicator to get the job done. I have some very good friends that are dispatchers and have been happy they were on the other end of the radio.

That is wonderful. I am so happy for you!!! You have to be floating on top of the world.

Thanks for the information. I read it a couple of days ago, just did not response back. Wanting to see if others had more info. I am glad my daughter showed me this app. I had been doing ww but hated to pay the fee. I was one that did not go to the meetings, just did the online thing. This board is very close to the same…

I had to change my college ring from my ring finger to my middle finger. The ring felt like it was going to fall off my finger.

Wait until you have your own place.

Did you buy your military time? We had some of our guys buy their time and they were glad they did.

Our police can retire after 25 years or 5 years and 55. My dad was an officer for Washington DC. He did 20 years and was retired for 32 years before he died. That is my goal now, to retire longer than I worked. I had an uncle that lived six months after he retired as a sheriff in Illinois. I like my dad's record. :glasses:

Wow you have 35 years before you can retire? I use to think 25 was a long time but now I think the 25 flew by. I still remember my first day. What service do you work in? I did 4 years in EMS and 21 in the fire service. I enjoyed the fire department more.

I am a retired firefighter/paramedic. I worked for twenty-five years in South Carolina. The best part of retirement is sleeping regular hours in my own bed. I do miss the work but not the bull that came with the work. Hopefully you will allow me to join.
