My 2 yr old was on Soy milk from age 1 -2 and then I read an article that said something about the Soy not being good for girls (i.e., messing with their hormones), so we switched her to Lactaid Milk. She seems to like it! I tasted it and it was okay just a bit sweeter than regular milk. We get the Generic 2% Lactaid. She…

Way to Go!

No need for the Frowny Face! You will get there! I started this journey in 2012 and from June 2012 to April 2014 I lost 75 lbs and got down to 215! That tells you how heavy I was. In March of 2014 I got pregnant with my first child and the weight just kept creeping up. I was unbelievably sick the entire pregnancy and…

Sure 6'0 is close!

Definitely the motivation I needed. I am 5'11. I started back in 2012 just to lose some of the weight I put on since getting married and a bit more. In the span of about 2 years I went from 290 to 215. I got pregnant and unfortunately had a very sick feeling pregnancy. Although I felt sick the whole 9 months I never…

I recommend getting a Heart Rate Monitor. I have a Polar FT 7. Everyone will burn a different number of calories and the same person might burn differently from Day to Day depending on how hard they are working. Unless you have A LOT to lose I would recommend maybe dropping it to lose 1.5lb, 2 lbs a week is a high goal.

Everyone looks great!!! I am 5'11 SW 290 CW 215.6 GW 180 (Want to get here then re assess) I have pictures on my profile.

This!! I am 5'11, 216lbs, 31 yrs old. My calorie goal is set at 1800 and I work out about 5 days a week, but I do not eat my calories back. So it is really just how you want to have it set up. But yes I would think that if you are only eating 1300 and not eating back any Exercise calories that you are not eating enough.
-
It is my experience that the Treadmill over estimates calories burned and the elliptical underestimates my calories burned. Try getting a Heart Rate Monitor to accurately track your calories. Also when you up exercise or change your exercise you will normally gain weight or stay the same at first. Give it time. Even if you…

Try going to see a nutritionist. If you weigh 123 at 5'6 you are in a healthy weight range. If you are not happy with parts of your body work on toning and strength training and don't pay as much attention to the scale. Being healthy is more important than being thin. When you weight train you will need to eat more to fuel…

100 lbs is a Huge accomplishment and you should be very proud of yourself, because it is not easy! No matter how much you have to go, look how far you have come. You look great! Keep up the good work.

Great Job! My Ultimate Goal weight is also 180! I am 31, 5'11. Starting weight 290, current weight 219.

Enjoy your vacation. If you are really worried about it, stick to grilled chicken and veggies, and for breakfast eat fruit and eggs. And get lots of exercise. But I really think there is no use in worry about it. There is going to be so much good food and drinks and fun activities. Just eat what you would like while…

Most items that have cream cheese, avocado or have spicy in the title will be more caloric. Try to stay away from the tempura battered items or the rolls that are friend. Log as close as you can. Sometimes I google sushi rolls that have similar ingredients and then try finding that in the MFP data base. Try to minimize the…

Well I would not say that I have No support system. My family truly is supporting me the best they can, but they do not alter their eating habits if they do not have to. My husband is actually under weight and can pretty much eat whatever he wants and not gain. It gets frustrating, but if he does not want want I am eating…

When you exercise do you know how many calories your burn? Cause if you ARE eating your calories back you should be fine. My profile is set up a little different. I am 5'11 and weigh 219.4. I exercise 5 days a week. I have my calories set at 1800, but I normally NET 1200 a day, but I am eating anywhere from 1600-1800…
-
I am sorry your family is not being supportive! I would tell them if you wanted their advise you would ask for. Sure you could be on a 1000 calorie a day diet and lose that 5 lbs, but that is not sustainable! You do what is right for you. We are meant to have treats or else we would fall of the wagon! If you want to tone…

Friend: "Wow, you look great how much weight have you lost?" Me: "O, around 50 lbs!" Friend: "Oh my god, that's the size of a small child"

Try No Carb/Low Carb. I mean drop them down low! No cheat meals or snacks for those 2 weeks, and exercise your but off!

Our eye always overestimate calories. You need to count them and measure/weigh to find out what is accurate. If you are dead set against counting calories not sure how much success there is going to be. At least try counting your calories for a month and see if the scales moves. You are working out 5 days a week but if you…

I think I used to, but I do not stress eat per se. I would say it is more of a stressful or busy time I eat out more. My grandmother died in November and the week she was in the hospital and the week after were 2 weeks of nothing but take out. In other situations I try to stick with bringing my food or cooking at home and…

I go to the Success Stories under community and read a few. That really motivates me to stick with it, because I am sure that over the years of losing those success stories had weeks where they only lost .4 as well. Stick to it!

31 Years old, 5'11, Currently 224, want to get to about 180-190 then I will see.

Looking at your dairy, it looks like you have gone over on calories almost everyday not to mention over your carbs. Try to cut back on your carbs and eat more fruits and vegetables with lean meat. Also try upping your calorie burn while at the gym. Aim for around 300 calorie burned 3 or more days a week. Also add in…

I have also thought about doing Crossfit. Most crossfit gyms have beginner classes, so you just have to remember that you will not be starting off at the same level as all those super ripped crossfitters. Everyone has to start somewhere and all of them started at Square 1 too. Good Luck!

You can still eat the carbs, just eat them in moderation. It will take your body a few weeks to get accustomed to eating better, but do not deprive your body of what it wants. Eat your bread and then workout!

My husband is definitely not trying to lose weight. Is is actually about 30-40 lbs underweight! But he is very supportive and encourages me to stay on track with this new lifestyle (I do not call it a diet). He pretty much will eat what ever I make, but always try to find ways to make his favorite foods (pasta) more…
