  • Have you had your ovaries checked? My mum had an enormous fibroid - it was the size of a grapefruit - removed along with a hysterectomy when she was around 45. Made a huge difference.
  • I was 13 stone when I got pregnant and didn't gain any weight during my twin pregnancy. I was just too ill with sickness. I weighed 11 and a half stone a week after they were born! I expressed worry to my midwife, she told me so long as I was staying hydrated then it wasn't really a problem as my body would prioritise the…
  • I will post pics when my stupid phone plays ball! I started at 15 stone and am now 13. I want to get down to 10 st 10 as a top GW (top healthy BMI) but ultimately I want to get to 9 stone. I'm only 5ft 5, and despite my fat I actually have quite a small frame. I've been doing Slimming World, running three times a week…
  • I'm a 34HH and have an amazing Elomi one. Fairly sure your sizing is different to the uk though.
  • I'm a horrific binger. I eat when I'm bored, I'm lazy and I overeat on regular meals too. I'd fall off the wagon for one meal and that was it, I was gone and would always regain. This is why I have yoyo'd from 10 stone to 15 stone in the past 14 years or so. I'm doing slimming world now and also running, and I feel like at…
  • Ugh I can't wait to post here! I've lost about 25lb and feel great - but it's all coming off my bum and legs! I never had a problem with them! Oh well, onwards and downwards. I have lost two inches from my belly and have dropped a couple of dress sizes which is a huge motivation - it's amazing how good you can feel on that…
  • I have lost two inches from my waist in a week. I guess it's true that the cells hold on to the fat for a bit then whoosh! It's gone! The new jeans I bought, that were slightly too tight but the biggest in the shop (Zara size 16, UK, if anyone's interested) have gone from being slightly too tight to perfectly fitting in a…
  • I want to be able to enjoy sex again without feeling so self conscious of my body! Husband doesn't care and loves me whatever, but I care. I also want to set a good example to my kids.
  • I bought some trousers last year to slim into. Forgot about them as I just didn't get there. Found them in my wardrobe and not only do they fit, but they look good! I actually cried a little because it felt so good to know that what I'm doing is working.
  • Completed c25k on Friday and then ran yesterday for longer. It's obscene how proud I am of myself, but I don't think I've enjoyed exercise since I was about 16 and I'm 33 now. I'm going to embrace it!
  • Mine is to know my limitations. I'm a classic yoyo dieter, I fall off the wagon really easily. I've been doing slimming world since Feb and I feel like my relationship with food is slowly changing - sure, I still eat the wrong things sometimes but I can forgive myself now. I don't self sabotage an entire week because one…
  • My mini goal is two fold - to be out of the obese category and into overweight, and to fit into the size 16 jeans I have waiting for me. If I'm consistent over the next three weeks or so I should be able to get there as I'm less than half a stone from it.
  • I really need to get back on this. I've honestly never seen such consistent results, and it's 'easy' - as in, no special equipment, no tricky moves. I just need to find the space and motivation!
  • You really really don't need to worry about putting on weight because you are pregnant! Think of all those ladies who lose loads because they have hyper emesis. Your baby will get all the nutrients before you do, so if you are just not hungry (my twin pregnancy I lost two stone I was nauseous all the time and had no…
  • Wow! Thank you so much for posting this, I'm just starting out at almost exactly the same stats as your befores so I'm so happy to see this!
  • I love reading these success stories. It's so inspiring. I'm down about a stone, but I'm trying to stay away from the scales as they can be depressing! I'm down almost two dress sizes and feel much better in myself so it's going the right way. Congrats to everyone you all look fabulous and so much happier now - I can't…
  • Thanks! Just what I needed to hear. I think one of the reasons (aside from laziness of course) I have never been able to really lose weight effectively is I get bored with cardio. I'm meal planning tonight to get ready for the diet - my husband is going to join me on that. Friday I will join the gym, and with a bit of luck…
  • Hi all *waves* I joined MFP a long time ago, have cycled through losing and gaining and have hit a really high weight :( I want to lose 70-80lbs, I am joining the gym on Friday. I know have a job where I will actually have time to go! Would you recommend weight training as well as cardio? I was thinking of couch to 5k for…
  • Mine was stepping on the scale last week and realising that in 18 months I have gained 37lbs. I was 164lb (11 st 10lbs) which is a stone over my top end healthy BMI but wasn't able to get any lower and SPECTACULARLY fell off the wagon. Half-heartedly I have started and stopped various diets, but it was seeing that I have…
  • Because you are totally missing the point of 5:2 and just doing a low calorie diet? Lots of people find it easier to maintain a fast day twice a week than restrict all the time.
  • I am totally JEALOUS of you all! :D Looking forward to posting my results in a few months
  • Your body looks like mine, except no c-section for me, just twins and then a singleton! Congrats on your loss, it looks easily twice 7lb. You have spurred me on to start the Shred again this evening :)
  • Unbelievable! Very well done!
  • 3, newborn and 10 year old stepson. Stepson's mum is pregnant - there will be 11 years between them. A friend of mine's dad recently remarried and had another baby - 26 years between them!
  • Twinsmama (hi there I have twins too!) is right. If you have stretch marks you will definitely not get it back to how it was. If not, then the possibility is there. You have a pretty neat bump so you should be able to get it back, but once the elasticity is gone in the skin it won't go back.
  • Don't know if you're in the UK, but if you are they sell turkey mince in Tesco.
  • I'm trying to do low-carb at the moment. yesterday I had a smoked mackerel salad. Basically leaves, smoked mackerel (from a packet) and some sour cream as a dressing. Was delicious. Bonus that it can be packaged up easily too.
  • Honestly, I have felt strange the other way. Looking in the mirror it is always a shock to see myself looking back and not the slim young thing I think of myself as! I spent a god portion on my teens doing fad diets and losing and regaining the same few pounds. I weighed 140lbs, 147 max. Wish I could've been happy there.
  • Such an inspiration! Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I'll have some progress ones to report myself.
  • 3 boys - 3 year old twins and a 3 month old. I also have a 10 year old stepson. Everyone keeps asking me when we will be having a girl - not really sure they know how it works!
