  • Ive been the same way. I just looked on my Instagram and realized that i decided to start keto/low carb at the end of September 2017 but have been all over the place. I would go 3-4 weeks and then fall off track and then another 3-4 weeks and then just fall back off because like you I do love carbs but ive found that i…
  • Hey everyone! Sorry i havent checked this message board in awhile..my app on my phone for some reason doesn't show me when you guys post on the discussion. Anyone that wants to add me as a friend definitely feel free  Ive enjoyed the friends that i have added and have learned new recipes and much more. The…
  • thats awesome! Love keto/low carb! its the easiest "diet", i dont even really consider it a diet anymore, that i have been able to actually stick to without any issues what so ever. Good Luck!
  • Are you testing for ketones? If so how are you testing? Also are you having trouble sticking to a keto WOE? Craving carbs/sweets? What struggles are you having?
  • @amycro86 lol its ok. You just go to he persons profile and next to the profile picture it should say "Add Friend" :)
  • @alaskagirl59 No i didnt get the premium MFP. I just calculate the net carbs and subtract my Fiber from my Total Carbs every day.
  • Yea I totally get that. Halloween was a curve ball for me too. I try to track religiously throughout the week and then just eat intuitively (only really keepin track of carbs) during the weekend.
  • Thanks. I’m already part of a few groups for low carb/keto WOE. Was looking for some buddies for more direct support. Thanks though.
  • Hello. The way that I have entered my exercise for the workouts is by wearing a heartrate monitor to give me how many calories I burned doing the workout. I use the HRM adjustment in the cardiovascular section to input the calories that it said that I burned.
  • Thank you. Ill definitely check that 7 minute workout out, I also was thinking about that Tony Hortons 10 minute one as well from beachbody. I have calculated my TDEE and reduced what I got from there by 20% and MFP was actually a lot closer than I anticipated which is nice. I was just thinking something is better then…
  • Me eating under my deficit is referring to eating 50 calories tops from it just because its what fits in my daily foods that I have planned and its what Im full off of. I dont feel like I need more food, I would rather eat a tiny bit under than over. Oh and Im multi tasking...kind of something that I have to know how to do…
  • No, its that I am a full time student and work 40-50 hours a week so any time outside of my studies is literally when I sleep. My priority is my studies and work along with making sure that I eat healthy as well. Once I graduate this year..YAY :) I have intentions of making exercising a top priority again, just right now…
  • That is great!! That is exactly what I wanted to hear. Great job as well!!!
  • Im 5'3 currently 185. Just started working towards losing weight again. Doing short term goals at this time so it doesnt seem like so much to lose at once so my current goal is 160. Feel free to add me  Its always nice to have more motivation and support
  • Im not sure to keep it linked or unlink it now because at the end of my day my fitbit calculates that I burn around 2200-2500 calories as well which seemed accurate enough. So when I do work out should I maybe not workout with it on? will that interfere with the results and just either log my workout myself NOT wearing it…
  • Ok that makes sense. I hadnt decided to do the TDEE method or the MFP method yet. I wanted to make sure that I knew how they both worked first before I assumed that I was doing what I was supposed to do. And I have my MFP activity level set as Lightly Active not Sedentary because I do walk a lot at work but then there are…
  • Sorry my exercise is in the 2000's-3000's to = net with my FitBit. I had that totally wrong until I just looked on my home page. So my net would just need to be more than the 641 for instance?
  • Thank you for your response, it was very helpful. I dont ever eat on campus and I just bought a food scale so I definitely will start weighing literally everything that goes into my mouth. I have my fitbit linked to my MFP...should I unlink it? I think that may be where I am getting such an inaccurate calories burned…
  • yes i know that the starbucks is a major key but i really only "splurge" on that once a week if that so its a very and still on a normal day where i dont get it i have the same problems with my sugar
  • I eat mine in moderation as well and I am not diabetic and it doesnt run in my family, so ill take the minor excess of sugar intake from sugar not as serious as in other foods. Thank you :)
  • That makes it seem a little easier to understand, so like my TDEE is about 2110 give or take depending on my day without exercise and my daily calorie consumption is 1200 or close to it, I do NOT eat back my calories that I burn through exercise. My normal calories burned through exercise is anywhere from 300-500 calories…
  • My gym does have a squat rack but there is only 1 and it is always being used by the guys. Being a newbie and a girl its kinda intimidating especially since Im kinda unsure how to use it. Its more my comfort zone to just do squats, lunges etc. on my own at my own pace and not feel rushed. I do use the other leg machines i…
  • Thank you for your tips. This is mainly what I was looking for. I wanted to see what has worked for others to try myself. I wasnt expecting drop a crazy amount of weight in 2 weeks. I was hoping for a few pounds...nothing not possible and unhealthy. My calorie intake being at 1250 (which a dietition told me as well is…
  • What about these FitBit monitors ive been hearing about all over??
  • Ive been doing cardio (elliptical/treadmill/hiking) and then weights. I can get the rough estimate from the cardio machines but I dont think that those are fully accurate as well but mostly I want it for when I go hiking and do weight/strength training. I want to be able to calculate my full "gym" time kinda as a whole to…
  • Ok I wasnt sure if there was a way that this could be logged on here or not but like Mathguy1 said its hard to judge how much you actually burn. Ill just continue to add it the the sets, reps etc. I was mostly curious because I have heard that you actually burn a lot more calories than you think by using weights. Thanks…
  • Yes, im finding it to be so much better and more of a "lifestyle change" rather then a "i want to hurry and lose weight" although i was seeing a nutritionist and everything while i did it so it was doctor supervised the entire time so it worked great and I work in the medical field so i got tons of discounts to do it as…
  • If you go to your own profile, you can personalize your tracker :)
  • Wow congrats on losing 40 lbs though that is still great. Having done it already once i know how hard it is and true dedication you need to achieve that. The encouragement I feel is always a huge part about succeeding, it definitely keeps you on the right track. :)
