  • I will sound repetitious here but WOW, absolutely amazing story. You give me strength and motivation. Keep up the good work and good luck with your surgeries!
  • So I go from being scared of running and not being able to max 1.5 min to adding 5 min on the end of a run last week to running 2 miles in 24 min today without stopping and having no breathing problems! So freaken extatic right now!! TY to MFP friends for all the great suggestions!
  • Amen! I hope I do too. I love running so hope I can push past my asthma!
  • I took a lot of advise on here put it all together and completed week 2 of the c25k no problem and actually ran 5 min non top at the end. I could have went longer but my ribs started to hurt and I was almost home. I know excuses excuses. Could have been the humidity that helped too. Either way thank you
  • I absolutely want to keep going. I love running. My lungs don't. Lots of good advise here. Thank You all so much!! Definatly gives me the courage to not give up!
  • Albuterol is recommended as a pretreatment for EIA. I usually don't start in until my 2nd 90 second run. I am not sure if I am breathing right or not. I try to do a 3:2 ratio and use my diaphragm. maybe I do need a longer acting inhaler or steroid. Plus I can run no problem in humidity so maybe I need a face shield to…
  • I absolutely love the taste of syntha 6 and kind of tend to crave them. However I do feel gypt (hungry) later in the day. Like I am missing out on other foods. But the only way I can lose weight is low carbs (less then 100g) and high protein. Guess I might have to look into another shake or something. Plus I think you guys…
  • It is very hard to juggle life and working out. I work either 4P till 4A 3 days a week at 1 job, 7A-7P 2 days a week at another job, plus 6P-6A 1 day a week at my 3rd job, plus I have a family. I tend to skip work outs and eat junk because its convenient and I need sleep. However I do try and go in streaks where I work out…
  • I went in and did this professional health and fitness anylisis thing and they told me I need 126g or more of protein. Which I struggle with if I don't drink the protein shakes!
  • I have a delicious recipe I created!! My kids love it. Fry up Jennie O turkey sausage Thick cut 2 medium zuccini, 2 medium yellow squash and mushrooms. Place all that in a bowl add in a low carb spaghetti or marinara sauce and seasonings Place in baking pan and top with mozzerella cheese and bake until heated thoroughly…
  • I actually started last november and my eating habits have been up and down. I am down only 13 pounds. I work out 2-5 times a week and took a 2 week break about amonth ago. Back at it and nothing. So last week I revamped everything and started a c25k, increased my protein intake to 125-160 grams, decreased carbs to less…

  • I am working on that too. I try in 2 steps out 3 steps but so difficult to coordinate!
  • I started this last week. I am starting week 2 and I feel like im not ready to move up yet. Don't feel like my breathing is under control and my ribs and side hurt after my runs. On a plus side I dont get migrains when running which used to happen. Got that part figured out!
