You should start straight away :) Weightlifting is an unreal fat burner. The effort of lifting weights burns calories, more calories are burned to rebuild and increase the muscle tissue and the increased muscle burns even more calories. Way to go :)

I ve been doing Stronglifts 5x5 since Feb, and i must say without changing my diet too much i have seen weight loss in only 2 and a half months. Weightlifting is the way forward and i hardly do any cardio now.

personally, I wouldn't worry about the actual weight too much. It is not set in stone :) I struggled with overhead press at 35kg, and bench press at 55, so i dropped down to 30kg/50kg and purchased some 0.5 & 1 kg discs and now i have set my increments to 1kg, instead of the preset 2.5kg. I feel better & small steps works…

I do the below 30-20-10 method twice (12 mins total) on a 2.0 incline, really gets the heart pumping! :) 1 min @ 3 mph warm up walk then, repeat this 5 times: 30 secs jog @ 5 mph 20 secs run @ 6 mph 10 secs sprint @ 7 mph

Have you tried shockwave therapy? i had tendonitis on my bicep and i was ok the following day after treatment (20 mins) I have found an article for you here: http://www.nuffieldcardiffandvale.com/shockwave-therapy-for-tendonitis/

I'd wait for the FitBit Surge, early 2015! it has a 24/7 heart rate monitor on the wrist for accurate calorie burn, as well as lots of other fancy bits!
-
What an amazing and inspiring story. Congratulations on your journey! :)

I am waiting for the Fitbit Surge watch, check it out. It will track your heart rate/calc calories in real time. It is out in Jan 2015 i think - it's what i've been waiting for :)
-
I have the fitbit one. It is cool, but check out the fitbit surge, which is out early next year. It will track your calories in real time using an optical HRM to give you a more accurate burn rather than being step based. This is what i'm holding out for! :)

I cycle on a turbo trainer for 30 minutes five times a week - 10-20 minutes after i wake up and have my coffee :) I agree, the workout is done, out the way and i feel great in the morning!
-
i would say my turbo trainer i recently bought for £50, i can have my own spin session at home every morning :)
-
i have a turbo trainer and using the fitbit in my sock, it says i burnt 500 calories in 30 mins or moderate cycling, not sure thats true - but would be good! Today - i put the fit bit on my thigh (on cycle shorts) and says i burnt 280 - i would say the 280 is more accurate :)
