  • I haven't synced since 12/25 and I'm starting to get annoyed too.
  • I upgraded from the FitBit One to the Charge HR a few weeks ago. Here is my profile. https://www.fitbit.com/user/265JYZ :) I'm loving the HRM on it.
  • Mine is locked because I use Achievemint.com - it takes my logged activities and assigns a point value. It requires it to be password protected. I have no problem sharing the password with friends and I've posted it before in my feed.
  • I disagree. I didn't start packing on the pounds until I was 12/13 and I was perfectly capable of knowing what I was eating - and I was responsible for overeating and sneaking food and such.
  • Congratulations!! And great job! :) Also - hi from a fellow Metro Detroit Michigander!! :)
  • Welcome! I'm 27 - started at 300 lbs. Initial goal was 120 lbs to lose to get me to 180 lbs. Currently at 50 pounds lost. Feel free to add me. :)
  • FWIW, I've lost around 20 pounds the last few months and I'm barely fitting into a pair of size 20s at the moment. (I was in size 22s before the 20 lbs). Previously at this weight, I believe I was wearing size 18s almost 8 years ago. However, I did have a baby within the last year so I think that has affected my hips a bit.
  • I use a FitBit One and it is not a HRM. It is essentially a pedometer that estimates your calories burned based on the data you input about yourself. I'm looking into purchasing a HRM now that I've used the FitBit for more than six months and have started incorporating more exercise into my plan in order to find out what…
  • Thanks, everyone!! :D
  • I don't get a chance to exercise per se. (I'm too cheap to buy a gym membership and once I get home from work I don't feel like leaving to go out). Before I had my son, I worked closer to home, and had more time to dedicate to either attempting the C25K or use my exercise bike. After I had my son, the routine changed a…
  • I feel like weighing myself every day helps me stay accountable. I weigh myself in the morning before I hop in the shower and in the evening before I go to bed. I've fallen off the wagon several times during this journey. And it always happens when I do not weigh myself every morning and evening thinking "Eh, I didn't eat…
  • Great job!!! Keep it going. I honestly would not have guessed that is what it looks like. You do look much smaller than that. Keep it up. Glad to have you on my friends list.
  • Red Delicious were always my fave until I tried Honeycrisp. I was in labor with my son when I tried them for the first time. My mom brought some with her and I was having a hard time keeping any food down. (This was day 3 of 5 of a failed induction after the hospital sent me home). They were amazing. And now I eat them all…
  • This was Spring 2011 - I was nearing 300 lbs or at least that heavy. Spring 2011 048 by cahtch_me, on Flickr This is yesterday. I am around 258 lbs or so. IMAG1302 by cahtch_me, on Flickr
  • MyFitnessPal is better in my opinion. One of the main reasons: it's free. I tried WW back in 2005. I lost 20 lbs or so. Stopped figuring out the points...gained it all (and then some) back over the next few years. I went to Medical Weight Loss clinic for about a week in December 2011 and realized they were a money hogging…
  • I tend to agree that food addiction is real. I'm sure there are some that use it as an excuse. But if other addictions exists (smoking, alcohol) then why can't food be one? I don't consider myself to have one, but I know when I eat certain foods they make me quite happy and I just want more and more. I don't want the…
  • Most definitely! I do not want my baby boy to have to deal with weight issues like I have. (I was the heavy kid growing up). Again, great job! :)
  • Awesome job! What you did is what I'm hoping to do. I started at 300 in Dec of 2011 - made it down 30 lbs then got pregnant - but I'm back on the wagon again and 90 lbs to go! :D
  • Which model do you have?
  • HTC Droid Incredible 2 with Verizon - Dropped the crappy LG Optimus S after Sprint said that "my phone not working properly was not their problem."
  • I would also recommend doing sea-salt soaks. When my piercings get irritated (or I'm healing fresh piercings) that's what I do.
  • Definitely. If size six is plus size, I'm the Titanic..... To me, plus size is anything bigger than an XL.
  • I have a larger bone structure (I joke that when I get slimmer, I'll be like a piece of plywood, thin but still wide!!!) and my first goal is to go from 300 (currently 285.2) to 180. If 180 still looks too much on me, we'll aim for lower. It's higher than what the BMI says, but I am of the opinion the BMI is a load of…
  • I take last nights leftovers for the most part. Most of our dinners are a variation of chicken (prepared various ways) and a starch. I portion out 3-4 oz of chicken in a tupperware container and portion out a 1/2 cup to a cup of the starch (depending what it is) and throw lettuce in another tupperware container and bring…
  • I am a World of Warcraft addict...well slightly recovering addict. I pretty much quit for six months because of school. If I wouldn't have been playing WoW I would have found something else. My eating habits have always been atrocious for the most part. I just don't let myself snack and watch TV or play any more. It…
  • I started at 300-303 at the beginning of December and I'm at 288-286 (gained two pounds over the holidays). But I'm just watching portion sizes and trying to eat healthier and trying to squeeze in some more physical activity. It's a bit difficult with taking a full load of college courses and working full-time. But I'm…
