I did 6 miles a little while ago. I felt great for not running since Saturday! I'll run again tomorrow, maybe another 6 and then this Sunday I'll do another long run
-
Nope, I've never ran that one. I've only done a few 5k races and one was in Nashville. I'm pretty sure I'm doing this in december, though: http://www.crosscountrychallenge.net/

Lol my last reply was for you but it didn't quote it for some reason

Hills are awful! Two years in a row I ran a firecracker 5k for the fourth of July in Galena, Il where it is EXTREMEMLY hilly! No fun, however, you'll have a great feeling of accomplishment when you're done! :)

Last night I ran 12 miles. Today my body is sore and my left ankle kinda hurts. But I did it!! So proud.

I was MIA for a few days and actually thought I was going to drop out of my race because I got discouraged when I couldn't find any time for training for four days in a row. Yesterday I was able to get 9.6 miles in and I'm sore today but I'm confident I'll stick to running my race. I just have to stay positive. Next week I…

I've never heard of any of those. I'll look them up on you tube when I have a chance. I just started listening to Lemony Snicket on audio books. Those make the time pass by nicely.

I did 4 on Monday and 5 today. Then tomorrow is another 4 and I'm supposed to do 11 this Saturday but due to a REALLY busy schedule, I'm going to only do 5 and then my long run Monday. It sucks that I have to do that but I just won't have time for nearly two hours of running. Great job keeping active everyone!!

Well I did it! I ran the ten miles...on the treadmill. I'm really disappointed because I wanted to do all my long runs outside but it was pouring down rain and lightning and thundering by the time I got out of work at 4pm :( Other than that, it was great! I had a Gatorade with me this time instead of just water. I think…

I'm gonna have to check out this pandora thing. It sounds awesome....I love 80's and 90's music!!!

Ran 5 yesterday and 3 today. This Saturday is a big 10 miler :indifferent:
-
I ran 3 Today on the treadmill since it was nearly 100 F. I challenged myself and set the speed to 6.7mph. It felt amazing and I could have kept going :)

I have two running "power songs" Defying Gravity from Wicked Symphony of Destruction by Mega Death Pretty crazy combo lol

Woo hoo!! WTG! I ended week four of my training today...8 miles! That is the furthest I've ever run without stopping! Though I did stop for about 30 seconds about 2 miles in to open the package of clif block shots because I couldn't do it while I was running lol I bet I looked funny to any passerby's haha. Next Saturday is…

Thanks for sharing!! :)

I did 3 mi last night and tomorrow is 8! I've never run that far before...wish me luck! :)

Welcome to our two newest friends! Good luck on your races and running challenges!! :)

I realized another obstacle while I was running yesterday. Not during every run, but more than I'd like, my stomach starts to hurt. Well maybe it's not my actual stomach. It kinda feels like a cramp in my stomach muscle maybe? Very hard to describe. I've googled it before but I must not be describing it right because it…

This all makes sense. I didn't think I should be logging that. Thanks!!

Eek! Yea take it easy and heal quick! I ran 3mi Monday night and 5 mi just a bit ago...both with a 9 and a half min/mi pace. It's amazing how much my pace has improved with this consistent running. This is definitely great motivation!

I'm sorry about the double post. I don't know what happened
-
1. My biggest obstacle is getting enough water. 2. Races definitely motivate me!!

That sounds like a great workout plan. I'm going to start doing that too. Today is a rest day from running but I went to the gym and did 15 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes on the arc trainer and various machines and weights. It was a nice change since all I've been doing lately is running.

How fun! I've never heard of a class like that. I'm afraid I'd have zero coordination for it, though. I'm somewhat clumsy. Sounds like a fun time, though. Maybe I'll buy a hula hoop and give it a try. I wasn't half bad when I was a kid but I was much more limber then. At worst I can give it to my daughter lol

I did 6 miles last night in just under an hour. Next Saturday I'm scheduled to run 8 miles. That's the furthest ill have ever gone and I'm so excited and nervous!!
-
I run on pavement as well. I've run on grass before and twisted my ankle in a little hidden dip. I've run on gravel and it was ok but little pebbles kept being brushed up from my steps and hitting the back of my calves! lol....yea I'll stick to pavement :)

I didn't see this thread until now! You'll knock 'em dead at your events! :) I want to get into biking as well but I'm worried about the upkeep on a bike. Is it very expensive?
