wife and I will be on the "Yak's Bender" server on the 25th. I'll post again when we have character names, etc. :)

Played in the last beta weekend event. My wife and I really enjoyed it and will likely be playing when it comes out. Really impressed, so far. Stress test this week is cool, but the hours are weird for me (EDT), so I won't make it.

Haven't been in years... have been working out at home. :)

not an expert, to be sure, but I always start lifting with my left(weaker) side and match it on my right. Eventually, I figure, they will balance out.

DAOC was great for end-game raiding because you could just bring 200 of your closest friends (lol) and zerg all of the content without having to spend hours farming, etc. Back when the end-game was Trials of Atlantis I used to run a weekly raid through all of the "Master Level" raids, sequentially. I would regularly have…

we recently gave these a shot. blehck! Did not care for them at all. YMMV

Level 36 Warrior - getting there!

I have avoided it just because I know I would/will be irritated when the character died - especially if it was due to something out of my control like lag, power outage, etc.

Well, you'll need a 1,000 calorie deficit each day, while still eating enough to survive. Depending on how much you have to lose, that rate of loss might not be easy, or healthy.

My wife and I are both gamers, but we didn't get together because we were gamers. Personally, I think it works out really well to have a common hobby between us that we can bother get excited, talk about, etc. Our parents (and lots of other couples I know) have a hard time "thinking of things to do" together after being…

Lord of the Rings Online is free 2 play and it's (mostly) feasible to play through without paying any money. I've got a casual group that plays together once a week there just to have something fun to do without feeling like we're committed to playing all of the time by a monthly fee. League of Legends is another free 2…

DAOC was awesome - definitely loved the RvR. Guild Wars 2 has a lot of similar mechanics to it in their World vs World pvp. If you get a chance to check out one of their beta events, I recommend it.

Congratulations on the new child and I hope that you lose the weight you're hoping to. :)

Super Mario Bros. for me, too. My babysitter(I was 6 at the time) had to show me how to get past the World 8 castle.

really loving the game, so far. I got to about level 10 on my human elementalist, and let my wife play for a bit on a ranger. Definitely a cool game, will be picking it up.

this morning I had 3 eggs, scrambled with 2 oz of sliced ham, 1.5 ounces of cheddar cheese on a Thomas' Thins "Everything" bagel. Oh... and my coffee. :)

p.s. playing on "Dark Haven" server. Should be playing tonight and Sunday. I'll post again with my character name(s)

As someone who injured his knee during insanity and tried to re-start the program twice before the knee was 100% - just wait. :) Insanity is very tough on your knees and it's difficult and frustrating to try to modify every exercise to care for your knee. In the meantime, find other physical activities that you enjoy. good…

I am in the midst of a P90X/Insanity hybrid. Currently, I am only doing the P90X portion while I recover from a knee injury. Still working very well. =D

I think you've got your answer right there, right? If what you're doing is working, don't stop. :)

just found out that I won a key from a PC Gamer contest, so I'll be checking it out this weekend, too. Professions I'm most interested in at this point(in order): elementalist, engineer, ranger, warrior, thief.

Insanity burn can be approximated quite well using a heart rate monitor. The strength training portions of P90X are (supposedly) not estimated as accurately by heart rate monitors. P90X was design to burn an average of 600 calories per workout, so that would be a very rough guideline. www.p90xcalories.com is a decent…

Changing my lifestyle to lose weight and get in-shape has most definitely crushed my "gaming life". I used to be a 8p-1a gamer when I could make it happen. Now that I'm getting up at 6a to get my workout in, I just can't make myself stay up that late anymore. More and more I find myself craving sleep at 10p... /sigh

Well, StarCraft and StarCraft II feature resource gathering (minerals and vespene gas) The "Civilization" series also feature those types of themes.

Finally beat Normal with my level 31 Barbarian. My BattleTag (or whatever) is Taco#... um... I have no idea what the numbers are. *sigh*
