Hi all; new to the group but not new to dieting. 2 years ago I was 5 pounds from my goal weight and suffered an injury that took 6 months to heal. I was inactive so I gained weight, then ate because I was depressed about my weight gain. So fast forward to now..... I started 21 day fix yesterday. All this measuring with…

First of all CONGRATS on the 80 pounds lost, what a huge accomplishment!!!:flowerforyou: So on to your questions; 1) Make sure you are planting your hand next to your chest and under your shoulders; not in front of your shoulders. When your hands are not under your shoulders, its MUCH harder to push yourself back up. 2) Do…

I listen to JIllian Michaels podcast and recently she addressed the need for supplements. What she said made alot of sense to me... A lot our fields are over farmed and as a result the nutrients that plants as suppose to get from the soil are depleted. Also there is so much of our food that is GM that we are simply not…

Thats what I did. Then just warm in microwave at work.

Funny you should ask... I just came across this on Yahoo http://shopping.yahoo.com/articles/yshoppingarticles/854/best-rated-athletic-shoes/

I agree with both the shoes & potassium. I noticed last summer that my legs would cramp or get real noodlely (is noodlely a word?) Anyways, it was suggested that I make sure I'm well hydrated and getting enough potassium. However, I hate hate hate bananas (did I mention I hate them?) So I take a potassium supplement and I…

I was doing 1200 through the first phase. I lost 9.5 lbs during kickstart week and haven't lost since. I've been reading alot about under eating and "starvation mode". I thought maybe the extra weight training and less fuel was stressing my body. So as of yesterday I upped my calories to match my BMR, but not eat back the…

Thats actually an awesome burn for 30 minutes. I burned 180 today on workout 5. Which is about 40 calories more then I burned on workouts 3&4
-
Thank God...its not just me. Started workout 5 today and that was the worse exercise. If she did them earlier in the workout, I'm sure I'd be able to do them but I was so spent by that time I had a hard time just standing on one leg, nevermind trying to squat down :grumble:

I am with you on the high percentage of body fat. I had mine tested by DEXTRA machine. Mine came back at 34% which was surprising to the techician too. I am within the "normal" range of weight for my height and age (though I still want to lose 15 pounds) The best explaination I've been told is that my years of crash…

Phase 1 is suppose to be "easy". I am on last week of phase 1, I found that heavier weights (i'm using 8 & 10 pound dumbells) and "double-timing" the cardio minutes really help give me the challenge I need. I think that you should stick with the program the way its designed, and like people before me said.... "Push the up…

I'm there with you....last week of Phase 1.

Thats awesome! Word of advice...I lost big my first week, then gained a couple pounds back the second week. So don't get discouraged, it will come right back off.

I couldn't remember what she said they were I just no that I was so upset I couldn't do them as fast as they were! I'm sure I'll get better, but by then I'll be on to phase 2 LOL

Cardio, Cardio and more Cardio. That is the only thing that "get rid of the fat". But if you want to get rid of bloat, lower your carbs and sugars also eliminate raw veggies. That what works for me

Ok found exercise I hate more then running man.... Up/downs. You hold weights above your head and go down to your knees one leg at a time & get back up one leg at a time. What sick person came up with this? Oh yeah Jillian "I'm gonna kill ya" Micheals!

I was bebopping around the internet and there seems to be a huge discrepency as to what is "normal" percentage of BF vs LM. The University chart puts 34% as obese where other website it falls into "normal" range. I still think a 1/3 of my weight being fat is disappointing, but I didn't have the test done before I began…

Are there any fitness gurus here that could give me some feedback?

I'll be the first to admit I am terrible at getting up in the morning. I have to be up at 5:30, but with working out in the morning I have to get up before 5 am. I did it during the first week cause of the 2 workouts a day, and this week it was easier to get up. I keep telling myself.. "If you get it done this morning, you…

I get up and push play  I eat after my shower!

I won't record my new weight til Saturday (hoping to drop a little more LOL) Pretty excited and very sore at this point. I'm following the kickstart diet which is making me crazy I WANT A PIECE OF BREAD!…

I got mine!! I order via the 800 number too and never got a order confirmation. I did get a shipping confirmation, but like others have said, I got it the day before it was on my door step. I started today, cause my "rest" day is Saturday... the day I do all my laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping yada yada so it just works…
