Bumping for future reference

OK.. This is what I'd do: Keep it really light. After a day out together, in the middle of a girlie chat, I'd say something like "Hmmm, I think one of us has got a bit of BO, I keep getting a whiff of something slightly off.." Then dramatically sniff my own armpits and have a sniff in her direction... Then I'd be like "Ah,…

Firstly I'd try the option of trimming the claws a little or the claw cap thingys... But you might find your son stays well away from the cat after recent events! Problem solved. If your cats happiness is important to you then of the options you outlined I'd find it a new loving new home for it over giving it to a…

I think reducing your meat intake in any way you can and sourcing your meat more responsibly is a really great thing to do if you can't fully commit to going veggie right now! Imagine if everyone made a small change.. In my opinion anything is better than nothing. Good for you. I went veggie (by my own definition) nearly a…

Ahhh yes.. That old chestnut. A lifesaver!

I do the opposite! I feel like people will judge me for needing to slow down and walk for a bit! They can see I'm in running gear and that I'm bright red in the face so surely I should be running, right? When the traffic's heavy or there are people walking on the other side of the road I make sure I'm running my *kitten*…

Ha! My MOTHER does this! She's part of a fairly sizable group of women in their 40s to 60s who all go to the gym at the same time and hang around for cappuccinos afterwards! I've never personally witnessed this ritual.. But you can just imagine, can't you? I know for a fact that on occasion they help eachother fake tan in…

ONLY if you add a really significant splash of another colour... Hat, shoes etc If there's the slightest risk that the bride might take offence I'd steer well clear though.. Only you know whether or not that could be the case!
-
I do.. Right there with you. I like mine with avocado salsa...mmmmmmmm.

I've started it today.. And I'm only logging on fast days from now on (to endable me to calculate calories). I'm pretty sure I know what a healthy days food looks like by now so am going to trust my instincts the rest of the time... Surely the point fasting two days a week is that you can go a bit easier on yourself the…

Bump. Last recipe I tried fell to bits into the BBQ...
-
Started today! I'm only logging on fast days from now on (kind of weaning myself off the calorie counting!) so not the most active on MFP, but really interested to see how others are getting on with it and gather as much info as possible.

Seriously...? The very concept is disgusting.

If you want to add me or private message feel free. I don't know much about eating dissorders but have dealt with a phobia (relating to food/health), anxiety and depression on and off since I was 11 and have waded my way through much of what the NHS had to offer! There's light at the end of the tunnel.
-
If you're not comfortable talking to the cousellor about this then make an appointment with the GP who reffered you (assuming it's NHS) and discuss the issues with them. I had a counsellor who was really anti medication and made it her mission to get me off them! I did and it set me back about six months. I went back to…

Bump for the cheese alternative ideas!

Ahhh! Scissors... Pen... Mobile phone... Scissors! Yes!

Thinking about trying this too, looking for more info on how to go about it...

Besides meat (including fish and seafood!) here's a list of 'hidden ingredients' from a reputable source: http://www.cordonvert.co.uk/cv08/cv.aspx?page=68

Oooooh, I have loads of broccoli and a tub of creme fraiche that needs using up... Glad I stumbled upon this post!

I up my calories, maintain my weight for a week or so and then go back to 1300 or less for a few days.. This seems to work better for me now than just 'dieting' continuously. I'm probably doing 1 week (or less) on, 2 weeks off now. I think the key is the element of surprise! Just mix things up a bit..

http://www.nhs.uk/news/2013/01January/Pages/Does-the-5-2-intermittent-fasting-diet-work.aspx This is what the NHS in the UK has to say about it.. In summary, they can't recommend it because there haven't been any studies carried out over a long enough period. But I imagine it's pretty close to how we would have eaten back…

All of the above. I had to stop reading after the use of the word "impaled". Cringe.

Yes, yes, YES!

I wish I'd had some low fat crisps in last night.. Instead I ate a big lump of cheese. Not good. But if I did have them at home I wouldn't just eat them when I was having a massive craving, I probably would eat a packet or two, as you do, every day which I don't think is ideal. Some will say as long as it fits into your…

Doing what you can is better than doing nothing at all. If 2 vegan days a weeks is what you can manage for the time being then good for you!
-
I log all of it. Calorie counting isn't an exact science, so the way I see it I'll probably make up any minor errors elswhere and it'll all even out in the end..
-
It sounds like you did really well to me for a first attempt! Keep building on that.. Keep going and as soon as it starts to feel a bit easier add just a few more minutes at a time or go a little bit faster and you'll soon see a difference. But keep on pushing yourself. Well done!

(1 more week in my current job! But in my mind I'm already gone..)

Bounce - Calvin Harris & Kelis "I can't believe that every day and every night It's getting better with you out of my life It's like I flicked a switch and now I'm feeling good No way to stop it, now you wish that you could When the weekend comes I know I'll feel alive You will be the last thing on my mind No regrets, do…
