Thanks everyone!! All this talk about exercise made me hit circuit training tonight. As for the 1200, I am not finding it difficult at the moment, so will keep going and re assess next week :)

Im like you, running isn't my favorite, but when I do get into it (at times) I like to start from my house and just go that little bit further each time I go. I also find it a lot easier to run on my own so I can go at my own pace, I tend to panic and give up easier if I can't keep up with someone.

I think at the moment mfp has given me the lowest amount of calories you can have, 1200.. I didn't choose this but I suppose its because of the time scale I set or something, I'm quite happy with it at present but haven't really done it long enough to assess yet :) thanks for the advice I will keep an eye on it.

I did wonder how accurate the calorie estimates are on here! I just read through that link, I recently got a heart rate monitor I am just yet to work out how to use it, I want to concentrate on my eating first, then ill focus on my exercise, I go to the gym three times a week for fitness classes, but wasn’t sure how to…

Thanks guys.. yes I think 5 month is do able, I would preferably like my goal by the end of the year :) I agree.. gym is not enough.. annoyingly because food is my weakness however at present i'm on a mission and have given myself one day a week to indulge in any major cravings, does any one else do…

I joined the gym recently, (I requested that my lovely boyfriend buy me a months membership for valentines day), I think it defiantly helps speed up the process, my problem is afterwards, when I go to reward myself for my effort with lots of naughty food.
