  • Never ^ (Drug) Never have I ever back flipped into a pool.
  • Ahahaha, the offer remains on the table for others who want some love ;)
  • I'll date everyone in this thread! You all deserve some love :)
  • Hey :) The most important thing I believe to losing weight is to do it for yourself. Give up all the other reasons and just think to yourself "this is what I want to do" and do it! Motivational factors could include a list of accomplishments you wish to attain by a certain stage, or that special someone that you're trying…
  • $30 a week could buy me a weeks worth of food at 1800 calories a week. About $60 for what I currently eat which is about 3500 a week on maintaining. $30 would buy probably this 1.5kg chicken breast ~ $16 2kg rice (brown, basmati or white) ~ $4 950g tuna (in 95g cans) ~ $8 2kg green beans ~ $2 That would be very basic…
  • I had this exact same problem when I were at 88kg. I started at 112.65kg and lost down to about 91.8kg then I kept losing! I always thought I was fat! However, as it turns out I was skinny-fat or 'chubby for my size' so I started gaining weight over a year and now am back up to about 110kg and am going to lose it again…
  • 30 minutes stairmaster. KGO!
  • Strength wise, I can do over twice my weight for squats and I haven't done plyometric work for about 4 months, since I injured myself last time. I always focus on quality of workouts instead of quantity, well, at least I like to think I do. I never in the gym for more than 40-50 minutes of working sets (minus warm ups) and…
  • Yes, the problem with eating too little (at 1200 calories a day) is that your body is in a state of starvation, where it will do everything in its power to maintain body fat as there is a 'limited supply of food'. Increase healthy fats, increase carbohydrates and have a little bit of proteins (macros of about 20% protein,…
  • That's good. :) I still use MFP and so does my friend Shane on this site, who has lost quite a fair amount of weight :) It's just really convenient to use such a remarkable website. I really think they've outdone themselves with having a free website, benefit people so much!
  • Thanks for the replies guys! :) Sorry I haven't seen them sooner, I had a neck injury from a rugby match 14 weeks ago and took 8 weeks for recovery. Will definitely be utilizing these exercises to benefit myself in the long term :) Good to see the girls are playing rugby just like the guys, I really respect that too :)
  • You could always go to www.ebay.com and see if you can get some of your money's worth back :)
  • If you're eating at a caloric deficit of 500 calories, you should be looking at around 1lb a week, tops. That's for someone who has decent genetics. Don't eat less, in my opinion. Everyone is different genetically. For e.g. for me to lose weight per week, I have to go on a +500 deficit. I suggest that you should increase…
  • I agree, that they don't track the different sugars and that's partially due to the various ways sugar is processed. What I can say is that Sugar is a form of carbohydrate, so they contain the same calories per gram. (which is 4:1). You can get artificial sweetners that contain zero calories that act like 'sugar' as well.
  • Carb, protein and fats are the baseline of the majority of calories(Alcohol is another category, but not on this website, I think). That's why it's the most recognised form of nutrient measures. Sugars, polysaturated fats are just sub-categories of these 3 and are an option to show the variations of fats you're taking in.…
  • Not only feeling good, but looking good too!
  • Just in case people are wondering 'why stop' well, simple. If people weigh themselves every day, then it's going to give them conflicting results every day of the week. Due to stress, water intake, dissipation, hormone production etc. these all influence the weight on the scale on a daily basis and you can never get a…
  • Australia here, but am glad to inspire and be inspired by others wherever and whenever possible! Feel free to add me, I've lost 38lb to date and plan on losing a further 15kg (something like 2.2*15=33lb) to lean out my physique. Good luck! :)
  • Ahh, today I thank the Anzacs for their service in the war and I give them a 1 minute silence too. I also thank them for a Public Holiday so I can spend the day off work, going to the gym and just relaxing with an intense workout. Definitely need the time off work once in a while, things get overwhelming, very quickly!
  • You look absolutely amazing! I'm speechless. Great job!
  • 75g rolled oatmeal medium grain w/ water 35g wpi protein powder mixed into it and makes it taste awesome.
  • Hands off the goods, it's all good. If she's inviting you for drinks, you better be aware of her intentions. I'd tell the friend about it straight away.
  • If you're worried about needing a spotter due to safety (dropping the weight on yourself, for instance) then don't do exercises that require that much support. for e.g. Instead of using a barbell chest press, use two dumbbells Instead of using a barbell loaded with weights for squats, use a hack squat machine Instead of…
  • Funny story. When I were 12-17 I went out to a party... once... Drank possibly twice and only went out with friends because we wanted to chill, not to drink, get high or any of that bullsh*t. Now that I'm turning 20. Nothing has changed. Yes, clubs are opened to me, pubs are too, I go to them, but I don't drink, I don't…
  • Yes, that's true. Cottage cheese is rich in Casein Protein. This is a slow digesting protein that takes anywhere from 3-6 hours to digest. It is most beneficial to take before bed, as the prolonged digestion period forces the body to work through your sleep, which breaks down fat cells and keeps your metabolism burning…
  • As a few may have suggested. Try stevia or splenda (even in soft drinks). It's the same sugar kick as regular sugar, but zero calories!
  • 6'1 - 95.50kg (210.54lb) Bit heavier than I'd like to be. But I can't lose too much weight, or I won't be able to compete in rugby. D:
  • "I kept glancing over at his food waiting for the feeling of jealousy to come over me, waiting for me to wish that I had what he had, waiting to feel deprived, but it didn’t happen. My boyfriend was eating Chinese stir-fried rice, fried chicken drumsticks, and Pepsi (some of my favorites). I was eating mixed stir-fried…
  • Naturally occurring salts in my foods & spices for me. Not sure how much that adds up to, but I don't mind that it retains water - since I take creatine too, this is just my own personal benefit. You definitely don't need to worry too much about the portion of salt you take - if your body needs/can handle it, by all means,…
